Everyone knew it was going to happen.

Nuclear war was always on the verge of happening. Most of the world powers just threatened each other over petty things such as Oil shortages and stress over international trade routes. World hunger, terrorism, bomb threats, and rumors of nuclear weapons… Always present, always publicized, but never taken seriously.

Perhaps we would not be in the situation we presently find ourselves in now, if such strict matters hadn’t been taken so lightly.

The year is 2207 and humans have finally adapted 150 years after “The Scorch”. Struggle between the totalitarian New Britain (previously the United States before WW3), North Korea, China, and New Soviet (West Russia. Separated by a new Iron Wall) in the Second Cold War caused the confusion and chaos that led to the dropping of hundreds upon hundreds of nuclear fusion and fission bombs and artillery, wiping out a large majority of plants, animals, and people. The remaining people either died, or were slowly mutated as time went on. Those who lived to reproduce and were given live young, found their children to have strange habits. Eventually, humans began to realize that about the time they came of age they had the power to warp their bodies into creatures… Not creatures of their choosing, but such that were suited to their homes.

The scenario is surreal, unreal, but this is where the generation finds themselves. Struggling to survive against not only one another, but the elements as the world slowly slides into a Pangaea like it was millions of years ago. Cars and modern transportations are now inactive, for oil and coal are scarce. Electricity is also so, while running water is suprisingly more common. Climates, biomes, and their inhabitants clash in primitive wars. Humans try to restore weaponry, guns, and other ways of battle.

In the true battle between man, nature, the supernatural, and himself… Who will prevail?
