I've come across this wonderful little device called the R4 Revolution. It's basically a converter that takes a microSD card and lets you use it on your NDS. (It's a NDS cartridge with a miniSD slot in it)

What this means is that you can play all kinds of homebrew on your DS now without the need to mod your system. To me... that's amazing. I'd LOVE to get into a DS community where I could be a part of homebrew on the DS. You kids all know my <3 for computer animation... anything you're going to throw on the DS is SUPER low detail anyhow and it would be easy to make.

I don't know why I'm telling you guys that part but... I'm excited.

I'm working on trying to get points to buy one on one of those pyramid scheme websites... where you just fill out all these free "surveys" and then you get points on the website... then you can use those points to buy stuff from them. This one is actually legit though haha it's not one of those Free iPod scams in disguise. The R4 Revolution is anywhere from $50-$65 online or only 35 points on that website I was talking about.

If anyone's interested in that website... throw a message at me and I'll getcha goin. (If you sign up through me then I benefit from it)

Anyhow... any questions about the R4 or the website I was just talkin about... ask em!

I've actually had a few questions about using flashcarts in general.

I don't necessarily want to play homebrew, but commercial ROMs I won't be able to find anywhere else or that I don't really want to devote that thirty dollars for... And I also know you can play Advance and even SNES ROMs on your DS as well.

I've looked around for flashcarts, converters and things you may (or may not) need to play them, I'm just not sure what I should buy and how I apply them afterwards. I can get the ROMs, that's not what I need help with. It's getting them on my DS.

I've heard about the R4 from other places (good things, too). I hope you enjoy it.

After you get the flashcart, you get a microSD card from buy.com for really cheap, and then just put the .rom files onto the SD card from My Computer. Butt easy.

yea, the R4 comes with a little USB ->microSD card converter thing so you can plug it in to your PC without having to get a different device.

I made a youtube video advertising that website I was talking about earlier... I kinda need to get it boosted in popularity.... so... I'd appreciate it if you guys would comment and 5star it for me :)

I ended up getting a DSTT (cheaper than the R4 and... does the exact same thing from what I can tell.... PLUS it supports SDHC microSD cards so... that means I can get a card that's over 2 GB for it.

I ended up using my points on that website I was talkin about to get a 2 GB microSD card for now... I'm going to be doing some traveling over spring break and I wanted something other than the 1 GB card I currently have for this. When I get home I'll talk to someone I know who can get these cards dirt cheap... see if he can get me a 4 or 8 GB card :)
