Sup guys. Just checking in on yah. Word of advice, you should make all sections public and only one section for members only. When you close the boards like that it makes people want to give up and leave. We are re-opening gamestarconnection and we are connecting with lead clans. We are opening 2 online games if you are interested, let me know. *Mature behavior please, for true gamers only. |

I got an email a bit ago about this from you. The two games are Knights of Fasaria and Quantum Star. Well one person doesnt make the decisions themselves here. But at the time, I don't think we can make another affiliation. We're really trying to get off the ground, and it's finally happening now. If you would like to keep the offer open, perhaps in the future we can join. |

Welcome back, Blaze. Nice of you to stop by. Thanks for the suggestions. However, I should point out how VSC is a gaming clan in which we play online games together with a shared goal: to simply have fun. To grow into the most powerful clan on the internet is something we have NO interest in doing. Afterall, a gaming clan is... "A group of online gamers or LANing gamers who fight as a united group. Clans are often traced back to friendships and/or colleges, or are just fighting for a common goal such as to be the considered the best, to be considered a real gamer and not a noob, or just for fun." So we're aiming to "just have fun". And we've been very successful thus far. Since we don't aim to be the best, we don't need a rapid flow of new members coming in. So whether or not some visitors "give up and leave" doesn't affect us or what we believe in. We'd rather get one, active and dedicated member than a handful of non-dedicated members anyway. Anyway, getting back to your proposal.... I see you've created two new online games. That sounds pretty interesting. I might check them out, but I'm pretty occupied right now with some of the other online games I'm playing, but we'll see. I noticed you refer to yourself as "we" now. That's new. And that whole "Mature behavior please, for true gamers only" disclaimer you added there, I hope you posted that on every other clan you've invitied to GSC so far. |

Ok. Tails. It was just a suggestion ^_^. Also don't take it personal, I usualy request a more mature audience. Game Star Connection will be open to the gaming public. We have opportunities to promote clans and other gaming sites. We are working with other clans as well. The idea of having free online games is always good for any gaming community. Quantum Star is a very competitive turn based space trade, combat and exploration game. You can build your own clan within the game and work together as a team. We have already a few game testers who are currently playing the game and they are highly competitive. We will be reseting the game in a few days so it's not too late if you would like to test the game, learn it a bit before coming back and building your clan. http://gamestarconnection.com/QuantumStar Knights of Fasaria is a turn based fantasy RPG that will also involve building your own guild. There is no testing team for that, it will be released officialy when Quantum Star is released. Our games our good for clans to form teams, work together and have a good time. I had your clan in mind. I thought you might like it. Side note: I am also currently playing Guild Wars for the PC (paid game) and have a guild of 40+ members. I say look into that game. You have to purchase the game of course but there are no monthly fees and the game is very fun. |

Eh, both of these games eem like Text-Based games to me. There are hundreds of those types of games, and can get pretty uninteresting for people who have short attention spans. Although I'm glad you've tried to revamp your current site with new members, maybe it will stay active for a longer period of time (this time). I also found that the whole "You can't see anything until you register" thing maybe something we should reconsider at first, but then I realized this: if we made a large portion of the site public, people could post as guests, or be one those poeple with short attention spans, make an account only to say something immature/spam like.. And then leave forever. This will assure us we'll get users that are beyond that, you know?
I've been thinking of buying Guild Wars if I ever get that Radeon chip installed.. But first I need advice from the perosn who built the computer, who recently had a trip to the emergency room. >_< |

Guild Wars certaintly has me interested... I'm just not sure if I should go ahead and cough up the 50 bucks to pay for it. But the game looks great, being a real-time MMORPG, which is a genre I enjoy. Plus, there's no monthly fees... which is a rare find for such a popular game. And a few months ago, I cam across a site that rates MMORPGs... and Guild Wars was dubbed the best MMORPG on the market today. If some friends of mine got Guild Wars, or if a few people here at VSC got Guild Wars (plus knowing Blaze and company have it)... I'd probably come to my senses and buy the damn thing. Money isn't a huge issue with me, although... I'm trying to save up to buy a nice used car (my current car is pretty crappy). Plus, I've got Sonic Gems Collection (you saw that one coming), Soul Calibur III, and Burnout Revenge on my mind. Plus there's Nintendo DS's Wi-Fi Connection (anyone see the commericial at the movies yet?) and Xbox 360. Now if you excuse me, it's about time I download Halo CE. Oh, and Blaze... the GSC site looks nice. And I had a peek at your Guild Wars site. It's quite informative. |

Absolutely not. I just updated my broad band and I have a new service. I don't use aim anymore. I use MSN and that is only every so often. That is why you haven't heard from me. Your help is always welcome.Well thanks again for the kind words everyone. As far as turn based games go, it is a very large market. Thousands of people login and even pay to play some of these turn based games simply because a lot of them are addicting. The kind of games GSC will make will be quality hard to find type of games and will always be free. I am not worried about the market, many people are already waiting for the game's release, I just like to see friendly faces when competing. Quantum Star is one of the funnest games I've ever played online turn based or not. Very competitive and fun if you like that type of game. Knights of Fasaria is also fun but as a one player game. I'm yet to see how it does when opened as a community game. My earlier projects were all beta/alpha tests (I'm not sure if you knew that). They were all testing grounds to test ideas and to see which ones would actually work before using them. This site and games are permanent, not beta. Guild Wars is very, very fun. I've been playing that game for the last four months. My guild is now active in guild pvp battles every Wednesday and Sunday. It is a great clan game. If all of your members were encouraged to get the game, you would be highly active in and outside of the game. I kind of like hanging out here. I may stop by every so often. |

- I was wondering whether you'd show up sooner or later, Blaze, good to see you finally did. I'm concerned, though, if some kind of new problem begins to arise because of your presence. I'm passing no advice for you to never come back; your temporary visits are welcome, as is your advice. Don't take it personally, which I know you don't. - 2 Games, huh? I may look into it, though, right now, I really don't have the urge to play anything now... I've become somewhat empty with enthusiasm to do anything, and my mom thinks I have depression and insomnia =_="... I'll look into your site, Blaze, to see how well it's going. VSC is proceeding well, though, we did lack in finally opening ourselves to the public, as we were somewhat slow in getting a banner and skin and the like. Anyway, now that we're up, nothing severe has happened, nor minor... ---------- Just looked into the site, it looks great! The stars in the background kind of emphasize the name of your forum, no? Heheh. Guild Wars is an average game, for me. I didn't find it any where near fun enough to play more than 1 week, and, as a result, I stopped. I've had the game for quite a while, and I could probably get FFXI and some others from my friend as well... maybe not FFXI, but GW I did. My brother, however, played the game, until my computer crashed completely and I had to install EVERYTHING again, for the third time. Both of your games look great, though they're fan-based, which kind of limits all of the originality and imagination you can slide into a game. Nonetheless, it looks quite good, though, I wont start playing yet, maybe not ever, but I'll give it some consideration as I'm not currently playing many MMORPGs at the moment. Your forums are kind of small, claustrophobic in a way. And it's kind of emphasized on only your new games and Guild Wars, isn't your site supposed to be about games in general? Or am I giving some kind of hasty judgment? Anyway, come again any time. |
