Today is a widely popular day in the world of video games. Why, it's the release of GTA: San Andreas, of cource. You know, the third game in a series of fully-3D "hit and run" action, featuring pointless violence and senseless fun? Yea, that one. Today is an important day, simply because GTA is so popular amongst casual and uncasual gamers alike. GTA's popularity is undenialable, no doubt about that. It's the fact that tons of random kids at my school keep saying "7 o-clock" (in refrence to the time Gamestop offered GTA:SA, to those those who preordered it, on 10/25/04) or "11 o'clock" (in refrence to the time it would be sold worldwide tomorrow, on 10/26/04) that shows how big of an impact this game has on the general public.

So, as of now... it's out.... but I'm sure you knew that. I mean, everyone should know by now... unless you were living under a box (hey, what's the rental fee for living in a cardboard box these days anyway?).

Well, if you didn't know... now you do. And if you don't care, hey... I'm right there with you. But I just wanted to point the release out... since PS2 gamers may concider it the most anticipated release of the year. Heh, it should be just a few days now before someone else sues Rockstar.

Anyways, GTA:SA is out... so go buy it or rent it if you're interested. And if you're not interested, do what I'm gonna do..... sit back, relax, and concider investing in a cardboard box. :tails:

Skydiving, Tattoos, Eating affects weight, 5x bigger than Vice City, You can go swimming, (Rockstar says the underwater world is just as beautiful as the land world) So much to do, so little time. 150 hour game. Pretty damn long, longest game I've ever heard of infact.

My friend has GTA San Andreas, but made up the overused excuse of "I'M GROUNDED" so he gets to hog it to himself. <_<

9.9/10 by IGN incase you guys want a score...

Wow. I can believe that. This game's popularity and greatness has control of many gamers' minds.

Hey, you ever notice how everyone wants GTA? I mean... the hardcore nerds want it, the casual gamers want it, the average schmo wants it, athletic jocks want it, most veteran gamers want it, 'angry-at-life punks' and goths want it, present-day street thugs (pardon my french) want it, enormously tall women in their late-30s who have experimented with drugs want it (lol, scratch that one)... and I forgetting anybody?

Eh, that reminds me. I was several gaming stores yesterday, and the lines for GTA:SA were unbelievable! I remember when I was at Funcoland, some 'think they're tough' 19/20 year olds came in.... and, well... they were so obsessed with getting this game, that they kinda lost their focus on reality. "Yo, look at these clowns in line. I should take out my razor blade and cut these b!tches." You get the point. But, these toughies walked out empty-handed, since they came in with high hopes of getting the game... and didn't get it. I remember when they were in line, the employee at Funcoland said "How much did you put down when you reserved it"... and their response... "uh, nothing". Then they walked out the store threatening to kill somebody. Charming.

I also remember when Pinkyton and I were outside of Circuit City, and some 14-ish year old kid was outside. "Hey, do you guys have a driver license?" Pinkyton's reponse was, "Nah... why? You wanna get San Andreas?" Damn, that kid really wanted that game. I felt kinda bad for him. Atleast my December I'll be able to help all the underage M-rated-craved gamers... or something.

Oh yea, and some kid I work with, who also goes to my school... all we ever do is critizize each other, lol. I remember what he said on Monday, "So, I called Gamestop, and I was like... when it's coming in... so he goes... 11 am... and then the guy on the phone says, 'I suggest you come in and wait prior to it's release'." He was telling me this, and he was like... "Yea, like I'm gonna sit around Gamestop amongst the nerds and gamers as they have their ceremonies dedicated to a freakin' game." It went something like that...

Yea, so... GTA had complete control of my day yesterday, lol. It took over G4 all-day yesterday, for pete's sake. Speaking of which, I've seen the GTA trailer so many DAMN times... I got the damn background music in my head (it's not the trailer with the 'Welcome to the Jungle' song in it...).

9.9, eh? Heh, that's pretty good...

Beginning with GTA 3, the GTA series has made quite an impact on the video game world with sales of 11 million for GTA 3, and 14 million for GTA: Vice City.

One can only wonder how much San Andreas will sell o_o

Oh, GTA for the Gameboy Advance is worth mentioning, though I doubt it will sell very well since, well, GTA San Andreas is now out. But if you guys are rich, GTA for the GBA is worth checking out. 8.5/10 by IGN.

Kirby review, eh? I should do one...

That's right, GTA is on GBA now, huh? It's returning the series back to its classic roots... and it surprisingly scored quite well. And with a market flooded with lackluster GBA titiles, this game may be a game worth buying (or renting/downloading, atleast).

- Weird, GTA: San Andreas has been on a lot of minds recently. At school, everyone was planning on how to get every coming game in a set order, also weighing possibilities of games having better graphics, music, gameplay etc. All I heard in my tech class was... "Hey Kasper, get Grand Theft Auto... Halo 2... GTA... Metroid Prime 2..." and all the to be announced (TBA) games. I can't think of anything right now that has no relevance, or isn't related (exact same statement) to games. -

Help me.

Everyone's choosing to get GTA: SA, mainly because it was such a hit during its era, which is still ocurring to this day. I wonder how long the GTA series will last until it is either a memory, or becomes dead due to too many games of its style or just having too many GTA games...

The estimated amount of sales to me will probably be 14-18 million? It might be somewhere in line with Vice City, maybe because some people are getting a little tired of it... which is a completely doubtful thought... a 1% of that being a true comment on the lives of daily people that seem to be in love with GTA.

I have doubts on whether I'll be enjoying this game, I haven't liked the previous titles, so I probably wont like this one either, but, seeing that there are some drastic changes in the reality of San Andreas, my opinion could change aswell. 50/50 chance is the best I can say so far.

Expect a review in the late 25th century because of New Zealand's awesome-ness of gaming experiences in the past... e.g. Disgaea is coming! 1 month later. Delayed game but expected to be here! 1 month later. Disgaea is without a doubt coming! 1 month later. Disgaea is not being released! W00t! How great!

See what I mean?
