On the 20th May 1995 i had the pleasure of witnessing the boys play in my home town - Glasgow...

And cos it's ten years later, i'm gonna have to post a topic with what I remember about it, the songs they played and how goddamn great it was.

I remember going to the venue early to try and meet the band (didn't meet any of them - bit of a bummer).

But we waited around the back of the venue to hear the soundcheck where we were treated to Funky Fresh which sounded awesome.

:band:

When showtime came there wasn't a support act and they were onstage early (i forget what time), but they opened with Intro and then it merged with what I later learned was VIP as MTS wasn't out yet. I think Madman came next and the crowd were going fucking nuts (I was trying my best, but i had a broken collarbone so couldn't get into the moshpit). I'm trying my best to remember what order the tunes were played, but just as Panhandlin' Prince was starting one of the security at the front asked them to stop, so that the crowd would stop breaking the barrier but Whit told everyone to: "Break it, I just don't want to see anyone betting hurt" Crowd went wild... haha.

Panhandling was played and Tomorrow's World was in there too, as was C.U.S.T. and Milkman's Son, but I remember Whit introducing it and he didn't get much of a response, so he introduced it again to a slightly better cheer, (it wasn't released as a single yet, so no-one would have known how to accept that masterpiece of a tune. I'm pretty sure God was there and Suckerpath, NIB with Clover somewhere too. Nearer the end of the show a guy from the audience was pulled up to sing EAY, and that went down a storm. I can also recall Oompa, Funky Fresh, and even vaugely (not sure about this one) an AC/DC tune. I'm sure there's tunes I've forgotten but you gotta let me off, (this was 10 years ago!).

Shannon was rocking out on the drums, i'd never seen him play before - but my other mate said that he was watching him too and that he's never seen anyone play like that either. :rocker:

After the gig i got a White tour shirt (i still own it) and a painted pin badge (long since lost) :(

Sorry to have bored you with this but i had to get it off my chest and share with likeminded fans.

Thanks for reading  :geek:

:band: That is so awesome! Great memory! B)

I just wish they were still together and making music and touring..I'd love them to come to my city and check them out live and try to get autographs and stuff. Sure they went to Toronto..boo!! -_-

Thunder Bay is such a small city compared to Toronto..but hey..we crave entertainment too! What really sucks is that back then..I would have been too young to get in to see them (which sucks too!) <_<

I consider everyone who had the chance to see them live and get autographs and all that very lucky!! :goodvsevil:

You did awesome recalling what went on...didn't get bored at all. ^_^
