Mxtabs has barely any tabs, and they are mostly uncomplete(No solos). There aren't really any websites I've been to with full UKJ songs. That's kinda why I asked people here. Thanks for the second, though. |

I can figure out the riffs on my own, but I need solos. That is a damn good site though, it'll save me loads of time. Any idea where I can find solos? |

redefiningsin those tabs aren't very good...actually most of them suck..no solos and only one guitar. If you want good tabs you can find some at www.mysongbook.com Some are 100% correct but there's only ALW stuff. Some aren't so good. |

huh? only one guitar? why do you think "Some are 100% correct but there's only ALW stuff. Some aren't so good. " on that site you talk about???? because there is an OFFICIAL tab book, most of those tabs have just been copied from that. "those tabs aren't very good...actually most of them suck" hmm, thats interesting, well those tabs were the efforts of three people and have been helped by many other guitarists, yes there are one or two songs now where I can see gaps but on the whole I think they are the closest MTS or MC tabs you can find. If you can see any errors please correct them and let me know so I can update it. To say most of them suck I think is a bit harsh, Ive seen loads of hashed up attempts at 12 cents and WULTBT on the net, Im pretty sure mine are as close as you'd find to the originals. Hi Bringemback, yeah I do know a few solos, but tabbing them out is a real nightmare, esspecially with UKJ, they really knew how to play, good luck finding all your tabs. |

I didn't mean to offend anyone so sorry... but I didn't say there were better tabs. I looked at them and they were the best I could find but still they are far from good(and I'm not trying to bring you down oK?just being realistic...)For me it just sucks to learn a song from an uncorrect tab. I would like to help you with those errors but I'm not any good at making tabs and my ear isn't the best <_< The lack of solos especially bothers me.................. |

can you atleast point out a section or chord/note or even a song that is incorrect? you say you dont have the best ear for this sort of thing? are you tuning your guitar correctly? To my recollection Shine is dodgy and was put up for other guitarists to improve but it seemed to be a song most people wernt that bothered with so it remains in its bare bone format untill someone gets the time or has the patience to work on. The Menace tabs were done by Adam and Dave mainly, and I find them a little sketchy (nowhere near bad) maybe if thats what your talking about I can understand. The Motel ones had alot of effort put into them, so please atleast try to point me in the right direction? As for the lack of solos, well I could try to tab some out but if you find problems with my tab then id imagin it would be pointless of me to do so? |

Yes I know how to tune...Yes that's what I'm saying. No one learns a song properly by looking at those tabs Don't bother tabing for me, I'm still a young guitar player and I'm far from playing UKJ songs, so the solos for me would probably be impossible to play for the moment. But cmon! Those who play and go see those tabs have to be unhappy with the lack of solos. Also, as I said before, these songs are tabbed for 1 guitar, therefore they're wrong from the beggining. There are fills missing, solos, incorrect riffs ...But ig you guys keep up your efforts I'm sure you will get it right. I'd like to help nut (besides not having the time) I'm not any good at tabing. The wrong riffs you'll figure by yourself, even a hard ear like mine gets them...lol Once again no ofense meant

Maybe this has something to do with the problem here?
The only complaint Ive had about that is by someone who by their own admission cant play them.
wrong, most of those tabs are written for two guitars Milkmans Son - written for two guitars Dialogue - written for two guitars Would You Like to be There - written for two guitars Undertow - written for two guitars 12 Cents written for two guitars God - guitar two doubles up guitar one, also plays solos (not tabbed for the reasons I stated before) Clover - guitar two doubles up guitar one, also plays solos (not tabbed for the reasons I stated before) CUST - guitar two doubles up guitar one, also plays solos (not tabbed for the reasons I stated before) 10/10 - guitar two doubles up guitar one, also plays solos (not tabbed for the reasons I stated before) Oompa - guitar two doubles up guitar one, also plays solos (not tabbed for the reasons I stated before) Little Red Man - guitar two doubles up guitar one, also plays solos (not tabbed for the reasons I stated before) Father - guitar two doubles up guitar one, also plays solos (not tabbed for the reasons I stated before) Undertow - guitar two doubles up guitar one, also plays solos (not tabbed for the reasons I stated before) Cloudy Skies- one guitar only, submitted by Dirk Geens Shine - I explained this one earlier
Fills missing - incomplete sections are up so that people can add to them and submit improved versions. Most songs are 95% complete minus the solos solos - I explained this before, theyre a nightmare to type up, most are far beyond the skills of the average player, I dont have much demand for them (apart from people that cant play them by their own admission) so it hardly seems worth the effort. incorrect riffs - Im not completely happy with God (Intro), Shine (incomplete). Unless you can be bothered to give me an actual example its a little hard to dissprove.
Its not that Im against critisism, and Im not taking offence. Its hard for me to act on what youve said as my contributions are to the best of my abilities. I understand there are songs, esspecially Menace, where most of the tabs just give you the main riffs, but atleast thats a starting point for other people to work on them. So saying that some of them aren't 100%, well thats fair enough, but that is after all the point, to offer people what I have so that it may be immproved upon. But to say there all wrong just isnt true, I'd say the majority are good, if not excellent. Good luck with your playing, maybe when you get a little better you can make some submissions

I checked God and Milkman's Son and they're accurate, but it's not how I play them. One thing is that I play Milkman riff on the 2th fret, not 7th. I find that easier and better sounding. And for the UKJ solos, just use your ears. Sure, there are some brainscracthing stuff in there but hey, just improvise over and over again and listen. Mess with the equalizer to make the guitar(s) pop out more. It's hard to nail the solos exactly but it's fairly easy to come close. Practice, practice, practice... Listen, listen, listen... You'll learn way more by trying to tab yourself then asking others to do it for you. |
