There's an article in the British mag 'Classic Rock' about UKJ and their apparent Bad Wisdom of releasing catchy pop style singles. It's a one page articles by Geoff Barton and he seems to loves UKJ. He thinks MTS is an underrated classic! which it damn right is, and pretty much reviews the album for a new generation. In parts he hits the nail on the head with how good they were but not everyone gave them a chance. He does however relate them to Wheatus, who werent even similar, as we all know Wheatus never ever rocked. they were actually shit.
I recommend y'all check it out if ya can.

I mite be able to get a transcript or a scan up but as you all mite know i'm slack as fuck.. i didnt even get to download the 'Bicycle Wheels' video!!

OK. I tried to order it. But of course it's a problem again that I don't know the number of the issue... The woman in the magazine store said she would call there, and I should ring her up again tomorrow in the afternoon.

Does the article also mention ALW and MC, or just MTS?

I don't know if the article is cool... but I think it's cool that it was released in a magazine of 2005. :)

Was it a saved article from before the UKJ split? (which stinks because I really want them to come back together!) Or is it new from this year that the editor wrote?

Yeah the article seems a tad harsh. Cool pic though. :wub2:

I knew i could count on you NoDesire! how do you manage to find everything? You are a legend!

Anyway, i think it's a pretty cool article the brief review of MTS is great and pretty spot on. It's also great to give the band a bit of coverage to people who never gave them a chance. I hate the comparison to Wheatus. Wheatus really sucked balls and never rocked.

What's amazing is the article being written by Geoff Barton. If i'm correct Geoff was instrumental in helping Maiden get signed in the late seventies and also brought about the introduction of Kerrang magazine as he worked on the previous mag 'Sounds'! maybe i should go for a pint with him to chat about UKJ!

Nice article indeed, but still, Wheatus suck! And I seriously doubt that the people reading this magazine actually remember "Everything About You", 'cause music mags are usually for younger people.

Not this mag. That's why it's called Classic Rock.

It's an okay artical..but the Wheatus thing drags. Menace still sold suprisingly well. And for the record EAY didn't reach higher chart status than Cat's.

If they hadn't split, they'd probably be cool again now.
