What was he up to there? Apparently he decided to disband UKJ during his stay in India.

This is what I found on a search engine...

Quote:

After Ugly Kid Joe ended its 1996 tour, band vocalist Whitfield Crane left to India
to experience and manifest all of his surroundings into musical form.

That's the whole passage:

After Ugly Kid Joe ended its 1996 tour, band vocalist Whitfield Crane left to India to experience and manifest all of his surroundings into musical form. "I called Klaus [guitarist for UKJ] and asked him to join me,” Crane remembers. But his former band mate was more interested in writing country songs and chillin in Santa Barbara, California. "At that point I knew Ugly Kid Joe was history.”

“I was ready to jam and then it hit me, I have no band. I was doing this for seven years and all the doors that used to be open [were] now closed. That was the end of my ride. You can't rally the troops, if they don't want to be rallied."

Ah, that's a shame. At least it's good to know that it was an amicable split-up. :o

Writing country songs? How disappointing...:(
God, please push me in the right direction
God, I'm hoping that you'll understand
God, I'm trying to make amends now
God, I'm asking for your guiding hand

(Not religious, just like the lyrics)

There's a difference between that and leaving UKJ to write country. Not to mention Kurt SUUUUUUUUCKS.
