Snow Trac'n Nome

I have a new to me Thiokol 2100 on the way. Its made the trip from moss landing CA to Seattle and is now on a barge heading to western Alaska. i'm interested in any thing I should be looking at before I put the tracks back on. I plan on the usual checks and service wheel bearings and will have to come up with a few guides, it's my understanding it's pretty common for them to come loose . are there any other points I should look at as far as any inherent weak spots that are prone to breaking. I plan to use this machine on a regular basis for freighting so the snow trac can get a break and retire to just hauling people around. my research has shown these machines to be reliable and low on the maintenance requirements Thanks for any help.

We had a 2100c that we used for snowmobile trail grooming, the differential was the weak spot for us, make sure that you keep the fluid clean and drain the drop boxes, condensation forms and goes to the bottom and can freeze and split the drop boxes, the pinion bearings do a lot of work on these machines, make sure that there is no play or leaks at the pinion seal.

Hi Don its mike. Any chance when you get that floor pulled up again, could you follow the feed and output of the blade spool.

Someone bypassed the blade controls and I am sort of lost as to where the pressure relief is. I found a drawing of the Hyd , circuit posted on another website for the 2100.

Figured you would be crawling around yours as you get to know the little lady. :)
