Looks great! What / how did you do the ski set up? Looks like a wheel welded to some sort of ski, but the ski looks reinforced along the top too? |

I really need something like that as well. Like many sled groomers who run the Simmons Flexi-ski, the stock skis are stored up in the rafters just begging to be used for a trailer project. Unfortunately that project would be at the very bottom of the project list, so I decided to just go out and buy the largest Otter sled. They are made an hour northwest of Minneapolis, and H&H Sport Shop is nearby and will pick them up from the manufacturer and not charge any shipping and also matches any sale offered by Cabelas or Gander Mtn. I'm also scheming how to attach a home made tracksetter to the back. Then I can run up to the top of my trail, load a few hundred pounds of wood and then pack and set track on the way back down to the woodshed. |

http://epaperflip.com/aglaia/viewer.aspx?docid=5e517fbf5ce744eb95c2bf28d2fd91d3 On page 31 Under the utility sled it says replacement steel ski part number #8105. When the skis came I welded a piece of tube steel to them to beef them up. I also welded 8" rims to the skis to mount on the hubs. I switch the skis to tires in the summer.
