The last couple of weeks have been tough for me. Not only have fires been threatening my ski resort home but a Ken Borek Air crew that I’d worked with in Antarctica has perished after their Twin Otter crashed in the Queen Alexandra Mountains between the South Pole and McMurdo. I hope that anyone who knew them is able to come to terms with the tragic loss that this terrible event is.
To Koz and all the contributors to Grooming Talk I would like to say thank you as I’m getting a lot out of reading the many interesting posts and it’s also keeping me from dwelling on the horror that sometimes exists in our lives.
Thanks again to all those who have given me stimulating information that inspires me to go on and dream of new ways to groom even better trails next winter.
Cheers, Greg

It would be difficult to deal with either one of these issues, but to have them both at the same time must be really tough.

My condolences to the team's families and to you. We forget how many people risk their lives, in many ways, to keep us safe from.

I sincerely hope that the fire stays a long way away from your home. It must be very difficult not knowing from hour to hour if the fire will turn in your direction.

Joel
