Just wondering if there are any snowmobile clubs out there that uses a roto tiller for leveling their plowed fields? If so what make and model do you have? We use a 10' wide finish disc right now, takes a couple pases if the frost is in before we get to the fields. Just wondering if we got a 10' wide roto tiller would do? Possibly only one pass in the fields (each side) rather than multiple??? |

We use a cultipacker 10ft to level out the trails, works great you can move right along in speed so you can cover alot of ground in an afternoon.

If you have a tractor and an old drag laying around, the drag works pretty good for leveling out dirt too. We had one that was built before the blades were spring loaded that worked very well. |

No experience with a roto tiller... we level with a Flat pan on threee point mounted draw bar. about 20' long 10'+/- wide Wheels at the back for road crossing. Raise the wheels, trim with the draw bar. I googled cultipacker and that would be a great piese to add to the back. Mike |

We use a small disc, it does a pretty good job. Two rows of discs, one row of spikes and a roller at the back. I only wish it was 10' wide instead of 6. Click on the top picture for a video of working up a field last week.![]()

This works great for worked fields and can replace a roller to pack Trails and build the base with early snow ! Try using a old Stone Boat they are used for horse pulls and used for tractor pulls years ago! They are about 8-9' wide & 12-14' long with a 3-4' tall rail that helps people who may be riding on it , get about 6-8 guys to ride on it, works great on plowed or worked fields can even go across hay fields it just slide. It will push rocks down level with the trail and any thing to big, you will know then just stop and roll it on to the Boat and drop it of at the next stone pile! Works great in the woods for brushing, just pile the brush on & unload when full make great brush piles for rabbits! Remember if you start with a smooth trail you end up with a smooth trail! |
