Hi Everyone - I am grooming with a 2001 Skandic SWT and I need to add a beacon light for visibility and to identify my machine as an 'official' vehicle. This is for added visibility and to differentiate me from a joyriding snowmobile harrassing the local park trails. My question is the following: Where is the best place to tap into a hot wire to run this light? I plan on mounting the light to the rear rack using a 1" pipe and some U-bolts. The bottom of the light has a NPT female socket for this setup. The light draws 1.2 amps, 14W for what it's worth. I figure that this light will not unduly load the skandic's electrical system. I know some of the newer Skandic's have 12V power jacks but mine does not. Thanks for any help you can provide! Greg |
