Every so often I see an ad for a "Bombi" for sale that is inevitably an old sidewalk plow. My thought has always been they are too heavy, no cross grousers, and just an accident waiting to happen. BUT, they are cheap Has anyone ever used one to groom? I've seen a few at XC places...but never actually ON the trails. I suspect that with wider tracks they might be OK, but that would likely be more trouble than it would be worth, unless the belting and grousers were free. |

I worked for a guy years ago that had one. We tried it down the trail and rolled it over on the first side hill. We heard that an outfit in Canada made a wide track kit for it, But we never found one. |

Friend of mine groomed w/ one and pulled a 6 1/2 x 14 drag. Made a good trail, had tip over issues. Good cheap machine but they are also pretty loud. This one had a Perkins diesel. |

It tips over on a side hill or ditch. Need the winch w/ a pulley to get back upright. |
