We just found out that the State of New York took $1,000,000 out of our trail fund and put it into the states general fund. Hows that for funding practices? I think some of you clubs out there might not have it so bad. Know we have a battle on our hands to try and get our money back. :wtf: :banghead:

:( OH MY GOD!!!! You all should live here in PENNSYLVANIA. Our club takes care of about 45 miles of trails. We groom with an SWT, 2 thiokols that are run out and HOPEFULLY a new machine next year. WE GET ZERO - NADA - NOTHING from the state. We do fundraisers and all of our trail work is donated by VOLUNTEERS - EQUIPMENT / LABOR / FUEL / BRIDGE matl's. / ETC. THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR THAT OUR CLUB HAS RECEIVED ANY FUNDING FROM THE STATE & THAT IS TO PURCHASE A GROOMER. Take a giant step back & realize that any money that you get it GOOD!!!! If you don't want it, SEND IT TO ME!!!!! Our club has about 100 members (20 of which do all the work - as with most clubs). BTW, 95% of our trails are on private land...

Snomut, how many miles of trails does your state have? How much money is brought into the state from snowmobiling. For any of us, we need to compare how much we get compared to how little you get by how much does the state benefit.
I see alot of plates from PA here in the winter and wonder why.
