One of our districts groomer has been down for a month waiting for backordered tires its a 1998 BR-180. The question is there a alternative to the tires from Bombadier or an upgrade to the newer style that is available. Being down this long is totally unacceptable.

I believe we changed our two rear tires on our 97 with the solid tires, but we also had to change a bearing or an axle or something like that. Sorry I don't know of any 3rd party replacements.

We have never tried this place yet but it is at least an alternate for ordering tires.

I realize there are differences between the machines, but my Sno-Plane came with Alpine Guide tires. 12 of them! Within 200 hours they were all showing signs of separation. Within another 100 hours they were all junk. They gave me half off of the second set. Of course I had to pay for shipping. Within 400 more hours, the second set was shot. They wouldn't give me any more warranty. They sent a rep and took pictures and everything and determined it must be something in the design of the machine even though they couldn't tell me what it is.

I switched to Fall Line tires and haven't had a single failure that I couldn't explain. It's hard to hold the tire responsible when you can see the intrusion into the rim. After 4,000 hours, some of them are getting a little distorted and ugly, but they're still holding air!

Prinoth (nee Bombardier) sells a solid tire that bolts right on-no mods needed. I do not want to start a war or piss off someone but I assume you have to go through a dealer??? Once there was a dealer who was on COD w/Bombardier to the point where Bombardier would not ship them any parts. To make a long story short-the only people who suffered were the customers. 12" wheels are used on all of the Prinoth 180/275/Plus etc-350/Bison is a 13" wheel. We probably sell 10 a day in North America -so to be out of them............???????
