well i'd say the wheels do about 1% steering and 99% getting in the way.....hope you dont ever have to back one up......cause its not easy.......i've got 4000hrs on one, and it leaves me pulling my hair out. Maybe a newer one is better, but i sure wish it was full tracked. Mine is a 89' 2500 gas.

I think there really there to keep the front end off the ground. That's about it. They turn, but it's really the tracks that do the turning. When the drag is lifted the wheels don't even touch the ground, well it feels like that at least.

:) The front tires :myopinon: are there for looks and all so help if you come out of a ditch to fast do help on the landing :D I have seen a lot of TT with bent axels on them wheels!
(snopro7002003) if you don't do much road running a set of ski in place of the wheels will help, with backing up, they cost around $500 new.

No bent axles on this TT.....Just upgraded to the 2800 suspension on all 4 corners...this machine has had nothing but 1st class maintainance. I dont think the skis would work for me as i use mine for cutting wood. I found that using much smaller tires on the front worked alot better. Like it was said the front wheels are in the air most of the time, but even with the new front torsion axles the factory size tires bind on the front bumper and wont allow the TT to turn the way it should when backing up. It seems to have a large forward weight transfer in reverse.

I found the ski's to be worse. No, the tires are there just to get in your way. :D I have been told by another club, to switch to smaller tires. It works a lot better.
