Hi,

Did anyone tried out a Caterpillar Challenger for grooming? We hope to try one out next week, if we got 4-6 inches more of snow.
Thanks,

Greg

I know of a guy in central Minnesota that is leasing one right now since his groomer died.
50,000lbs keeps him off all his bridges and swamps. :(

The smallest Challenger is "only" 22,000 pound. I know it is heavy.
Thanks,

Greg

Washburn Maine has one, it is big but they really like it. CAT GROOMER (Dave) is the trail master for them.

Life is to short to drink cheap beer.

HOLY COW that is heavy, I wouldn't want to be any where near something that isn't a solid surface I can tell you that. Our bridges would be pulverized with that and our local establishments would raise all sorts of panic if we drove through there parking lots or across their stuff.

I still would like to get in one and check it out though.

What club in MN, and what died? Just wondering.

i know where there is a challenger in the northwest with a blade and every cold start device imaginable and a wide track kit.

it was used in antartica, and now is in central idaho. it would work great for somewhere without the 8 percent grades we have and the bottomless 10 feet of snow.

very low hours, adn i bet someone could buy it for 35,000 bucks.
