Thanks for the reply and pictures-what is the widest tracks avail for, lets say a ATV or a gator/ranger type unit...in other words, most surface area tracks (longer, wider) -for grooming and climbing hills, more is better here.

You mentioned some XC clubs use them-do you have any contacts I could check with?

The tracks will 14 inchs front and rear.

It's in Quebec and most of them are using ATV'S. Are you speaking french...

Check with this club. Brantingham Snomads

The put a set on a Kubota L5740. They broke the rear axle housing on the tractor this year. Soucy had a fix for it. So check with them.

Word is a number Kubota casting broke with wheel tractors also.

That's rigth and it was the first out of about twelve 5740 that we made. Problems like this just showed how fast Soucy are to fix problems. Inside 4 days every thing was back in the trail.

what was causing the rear axle houseing to break? did kubota stand behind all of this, or did soucy? the kubota sure looks good in the pics from the show. i would think that it would handle a bigger multiblade groomer than six feet. :myopinon: does anyone know a price on the track kit for this tractor?

Yannick,
What is the pressure per sq. inch for your Soucy tracks for ATVs, Tractors?

The p/psi for a tractor is around 1.8 p/psi for a mid size tractor (100 to 130 hp).

Yannick, please clarify which tracks spec at the 1.8 pounds per square inch. I calculated our setup at closer to 2.6 without the front end loader on a TS125A (16,000 pounds with tracks installed).

Subject: John Deere 6430.
Weight with tracks on: 13 500 lb.
Soucy track kits model: ST-600 +
Front tracks dimensions: 25in. wide and 60in. long. (3in. sinking)
Rear tracks: 232in. wide and 70in. long. (3in. sinking)

Here's the math:
Front tracks area: 25X60x2 tracks= 3000 inČ
Rear tracks area: 32X70X2 tracks= 4480 inČ

Front area + rear area / tractor weight = 1.8048128 lbs/sq.in.

We have the narrower tracks. That explains it.

NO, I don't speak French, but if any speak English and I could get email from them, I'd like to know how they like the tracked ATVs for XC grooming.
Thanks

I have to retract my self.

I forgot to add the weigths of attacment brackets.

Here is the exact PSI for a ST-600+

6430 FWD weights (as per web site) 10 400lbs. - weight of wheels ± 2200 lbs. (as per JD dealer) = 8 200 lbs.

The exact weight of a ST-600+ is 7 000 lbs. - shipping pallets (ref. FEDEX): 6 900 lbs.

Weights with the tracks is approx. 15 100 lbs.

So the psi is: 2.01 psi.

Sorry for the confuse.
