A few of the trees have started to turn up here, It turns a boys mind to new sleds. I have looked at the new sleds on the web. Any one have an opinion of the new TNT, or Polaris dragon? The dealers are starting to put the sleds out so snow is not to far off (in my tiny little mind). |

I went to the spring order manufactures (all) show they had in Moncton, NB. Whoever is doing the graphics and hood design work on is out to lunch. This has got to be the ugliest group of sleds ever built. As far as how they perform, they claim the new Rev XP is supposed to blow away the industry more than the introduction of Rev. We'll see

It's to light, I cant see taking all that weight out of a sled and it still being able to take a beating, 399 lbs. is just to little in my opinion.............. But sometimes less is more, I prefer ski-doo's but I would give the TNT a year and see what happens. |

I like the idea of the TNT, a super light sled; if they made it strong. Power to weight ratio works for aircraft and cars and should make a very responsive sled. It also would not hurt getting it unstuck But the Polaris is comfortable for my tired old bones. I am about worn out from work this summer, I may take this winter off and groom and ride sleds. |

I have the Polaris Dragon RMK from 2007. The story behind it was I was able to ride a Dragon RMK at Togwotee for a few hours. It was a guides friends sled and it was mine for about half a day. ( I had a 2004 edge rmk 159 800) I rode it, couldn't believe how much Polaris was back in the game. Gave it back to the guy, it was New Years day, went down to Laramie on the 2nd of Jan and while sitting in the motel after work noted a Polaris dealer across the street, went in, traded my 04 in at a good price I thought, and loaded up the RMK Dragon. I have never once thought twice about it. I'm actually looking forward to riding this winter again. It's unbelievable, I can't say for the trail dragon because I don't have one but the engines are the same. It's a great starter, it runs upside down (mountains make this happen often). It's crazy fast for a 700, (It should be it's dyno #'s are 140hp) mine consistently shows 90-91 at 8500' out west on the runs back to the lodge, I don't know what it does for around the midwest. I only rode it once in the Yooper and was thourghly impressed and it was brand new at that point. It's light weight, or at least the RMK version is with the air shocks and so on, again I can't speak for the trail version but all in all it's a great sled that put Polaris back on the map for many, many riders. Here is a few shots of mine last winter. ![]() ![]()
