After an 18 hour run in the groomer, have any of you experienced the following?

You park the groomer, get in your vehicle to drive home and find yourself searching for the drag controls to smooth out all the potholes and bumps in the road. Then when you catch yourself doing it, a sheepish look comes accross your face and an "Oh $h-t, that's right !" comes to mind.

Don't know why I thought of that but it's something I catch myself doing quite often after grooming.(if you've ever been here and drove around our town, you'll know what I mean) Road maintenance is not a real priority around here. Lots of frost heaves and potholes. Often wished I had a drag behind my truck.

It also feels like you are driving 200 MPH in the truck home. After hours at 6 - 10 MPH, 55 is flying!

Been there done that!

I also hate when I can't go where I want to....... After driving for hours and hours over snow ..... It's pretty depressing.

Well other than the speed part I haven't found any road grooming habits....lol

On the other hand after plowing roads for hours and days on end i find my self deeking around mail boxes even when i'm in the pick up. The first few times when the Mrs. was with me she didn't say any thing and thought i just had some driving issues. then i caught my self doing it and explained to her that was the motion to go around mail boxes in the plow. One trip out in the plow and she understood.....then again one trip out was just enough to scare the crap out of her and confirm her suspicions of my mental state ....lol

I wish I could groom my road , I must have to same potholes. My wife has told me that I have woke her up at night after grooming. When she has asked me whats up, I have told her don't worry just bounced the drag off another tree.

I know exactley what you guys are talkin about, I work the Docks at Roadway Express driving tow motor for 10-12 hours a day and then Operating the groomer I am always reaching for levers in the truck to pick up stopped cars or smooth out a bump in the road, the best is when I Go to pull out of the parking lot at work and crank the wheel like I am driving a tow motor and spin my truck around....It takes a minute to realize the truck steers from the front

Wasn't going to make a comment on this but I can't resist! :P

My wife rather enjoys it when I start searching for the drag levers in my sleep!(she likes the wandering hands! :D ) .......enough said! :floor:

interesting !!!

most of the time i groom at night , so when i stop to take a short break , drink coffee or take pics ,i always open the light in roof of the machine.

so when i groom during day light and do the samethings , i still have that bad habit ,opening that light !!!!

Now I Know why she likes it when I go grooming, it would also explaine her morning after smile. This whole time I just thought it was because she got the whole bed to herself.
