I know what you mean! I started snow here around 10pm two days ago and hasn't stopped. I've got that itch to get out there and re-open the trails but not point since they're calling for warmer temps next week. Went from +15c to -30c here with strong winds. I went from considering hauling out the boat/camper last week to digging out a 4 foot snow drift that burried the wife's van in the driveway. :(

The Yooper is getting nailed, at least the Keweenaw area. I'm actually thinking of taking the RMK Dragon up for one last go around. It's unreal. I'm sure there are some water crossings but who cares, this is unreal.

Take a look at johndee.com and go to the almost live cam.

After a long cool very dry winter without much snow we are now getting blasted with heavy wet spring snow. We have received over 4 foot of new snow in the past 10 days. Now I hope Mother Nature turns the facet off before the 4th of July.

We're not grooming even though we got a foot and a half of snow. They are grooming in duberville roughly 7 hrs from here. I think they got close to 3 feet of snow. We could realilstically open up a couple of our trails but they're calling for warmer temps this week. Besides, our machine barely made it through the winter with worn out tracks. I don't really feel like retracking a machine on the side of the trail right now.

I've done my driveway three times in the past two days. Got home from work today and it needs it again. High winds is causing lots of drifts everywhere. Two days ago, my wife parked her van in the driveway and when I went out in the morning only a couple of hours after she got home, there was a 4 foot snow drift going right from my patio steps right over her van to the neighbours fence. Took a while to dig that out. :(

 When I got home from work today from a 12 hour shift at the mill, the town was digging up the back lane right behind my garage due to a busted water pipe. What a mess! It flooded the garage at my rental house accross the back lane from my place. Spent about an hour in a foot of water trying to get the sump pump working to pump it out.(in -30c weather I might add) Not to happy about that! To make matter worse, now I can't even get the snow blower out of the garage to do my driveway as when the pipe burst today, it flooded my back lane and now there's about 6" of ice frozen against my garage door so I can't open it. I was planning on going for a sled ride monday morning but the sleds in the garage too and also stuck in there.

Along Lake Superior in the UP we have had three feet of snow in the last 4 days. I opened a small portion of the trails for the week end. What a year no snow for Christmas and more than we could deal with for Easter!

The afternoon and evening of 4-12-07 gave us an additional 8 inches of new snow. I took the wife out for a spin around the neighborhood in the LMC 1200 with the new snow falling.

The weather on the mountain this week is suppose to be in the 50's and the snow will be melting. Looks like the snow cat fun is about over and mud season is near.
