We're just about done for this season. We might be able to get once or twice more but it's very quickly coming to a close. They're calling for above freezing temps and rain this weekend. Anyone else out there still grooming?

Still plugging away up here. Base is pretty skimpy. so with the warm temps coming this weekend by Mon it may be close. But you never know, its been 10 or 12 below the last few nights. The trails are hard as a rock, but we've still gotta go out and knock down the drifts.

We are still grooming with a decent base although warm weather will chew it up pretty quick. I say that we have got two weeks in warm weather and more if it stays cold :jump:

Our snow has a tendency to be"here one day, gone the next" if you know what I mean. We don't see the traffic up here like other areas. This year has been the worst ever. Normally in march, we get lots of tourists coming through to do the big loop up here. Not this year with the low snow. The club two hours away has not groomed anything this year. We normally put like 6-900 hrs per season. This year we're at 72hrs on each machine. We could groom a couple more weeks I think but there's not point if there's no traffic this year. Plus, our tracks/cleets would never survive low snow.

We will probably be done this weekend as well,,,things are fantastic right now. one more section to touch up.. have 2 miles of plowed logging road that bisects the portion with the most snow with civilization. Trucker is 83 yrs old, and his son the contractor wouldn't let us build an Ice road. Only leaves 3/4" of snow and snirt when he plows,, 7 hrs of sun and warmth takes it in a hurry,

I ran our groomer out to the clubhouse today and unpinned the drag. We normally keep it in town during the winter.(just easier and saves an hour everytime we do the local trails or going north and west.) That way, if we do get the warm weather and rain they're calling for over the next few days, the machine will aready be out there and I won't have to beat it 10 miles down the highway. We might end up getting a few more hours in doing local stuff but we're pretty much done unless we get some snow.
