These tires have a 480 pound rating. That adds up OK. They are foam filled but have no tread. Do you think they will work on my Imp ??? http://www.gemplers.com/a/shop/product.asp...757466405940014 Thanks for your help. EDIT:Thanks for moving this, Koz

But the bearings in that hub are just cheap wheel barrel type! I don't think that they will hold up. But you could give one a try to see how it would hold up.

The tires on this one are 4.00-4.80 X 8. I don't know what "monorail" means in this case. I have bought a wheel and bearings from Nap-A but that doesn't solve the tire problem and I had to drill my own grease fitting in those. The outside dimension of the tires is 16" and there isn't room for anything bigger. If I got those tires , I could use bearings from Nap-A ?? Mike, maybe you are thinking of the super Imp ? Thanks

I wouldn't think the tires from Gemplers would hold up especially with the load put on them while turning. We tried using some cheaper tires on our old SV200 and had nothing but problems. We put the monorail style tires on and the problems went away. The monorail tires are like the ones pictured on the left below - ![]() ![]() The above picture is from FallLine I think these would be better suited for your Imp.

Thanks, Koz. I'll them Monday.I looked for tires/wheels last spring and was a little shocked that one tire/wheel assembly costs over $200 <_< I can get tires that are about 20 times the size for the same money....like the front ones on a full size 4x4 backhoe. I don't understand |
