Hope this link works. Seems the French Rugby Federation have asked never to have to incompetent Irishman refereeing their games again.

Cant help but feel other countries will sympathise with them!

Yes - the link works!

I don't follow Union, but I think it would be a dangerous precedent to refuse to allow a team to pick and choose their officials.

Quite right, it would be a dangerous precedent to set but I am sure the request won't come as a surprise to many rugby followers, at least not to those on here. What is a puzzle is how he got on to the international panel and, more to the point, what he is still doing there!
