Appointments for the forth coming Rugby Championship

http://www.irb.com/mm/Document/NewsMedia/MediaZone/02/07/20/87/140623-appts.pdf

Clancy back in the fold with a mdidle, good appointment for John Lacey (I like his style), 2 games for 'world referee of the year' Owens, Jackson with a match as well

Alongside usual suspects Walsh, Poite, Peyper, Gauzerre, Garces, Joubert and Barnes

Craig Joubert heads the all South African team for the 3rd Aus v NZ match

Good appointment for Luke Pearce with one of the WC Play Off matches

Luke Pearce and team have been replaced by Nigel Owens (and Welsh assistants) for the Play Off match in Russia

Why, I wonder? Does anyone know who the teams are/could be? Mr Pearce has had a testing season - who hasn't! Is this another example of the rigorous IRB performance system in operation?

The first round of the repêchage is Uruguay vs Hong Kong and Russia vs Zimbabwe

The winners play a 2 legged match to decide the final team for England 2015

Only thing I can think of is that Luke Pearce officiated in the African WC play offs (which was known before these appointments came out). Not sure if there was a specific issue or whether it was just felt best to withdraw him. Nigel Owen's appointment, much as I love him as a referee, seems a bit over the top in comparison to the other appointment.
