For next season - I was thinking of resurrecting a grand old competition that I was involved in back in the late 1990s when the Interweb was in it's infancy. "The Smart-A**e Predicta-League" People enter as they would the Fantasy League - and depending on number of entrants at start of season we may have a couple of divisions with promotion and relegation - plus a knockout competition Basically every week - I whack up a list of 18 random games from around England & Scotland (and maybe Wales if nothing else is on) - and people submit score predictions for 13 of them. 1 correct score = 1 GOAL eg. You predict Newport 1-1 Clevedon and it is 1-1 4 correct outcomes = 1 GOAL eg. You say a 1-1 draw and it is a 2-2 draw. This is one correct outcome and warrants 1 point; four of these is one goal 2 points will be awarded for home advantage STAR PREDICTIONS: One game will be marked by yourself as a "Star Prediction" - think of it as a banker. Any score from this game (outcome or correct score) will count double. |
