Nice to see Kirkup making a return. Gutted Linny only has a 4th there but like the Lg 1 choices, deserved appointments & well done to all of them. James Adcock in particular was excellent at Dean Court this season.

Is Linington maybe being lined up for the Div 1 or 2 final? Just a thought

Adcock and Naylor are somewhat unexpected.
Drysdale didn't get great press from his televised game a few weeks ago either.

Would he get the final if he has 4th on a semi? Not sure how they allocate these ones.

Agreed, good to see Kirkup back.

Very disappointed that D'Urso is allowed near the play offs though, the man truly is an absolute tool. One of the most inept referees over a series of games that I've seen for ages.

Irrespective of any personal opinions on here, D'Urso's play-off appointment record in extraordinary. Every year he is up against sixty odd colleagues in the merit table and he features virtually every year. Proof if needed I suggest that his jettisoning from the Select Group was in haste and very possibly founded upon a personal prejudice rather than a considered appraisal of his performances.

I wish all of these officials the very best of luck and let's hope there is no controversy in any of the games.

.... or proof that the appointments are not just based on the "merit table" or possibly the table does lie.

But I would echo your good wishes, especially for the two matches I will be attending.

Likewise .... although I've seen Naylor twice this season. The first he was barely noticed in a low key Carling Cup tie; the second he presided over a cardfest, co-incidentally at Roots Hall, showing 8 yellows and a red - only a couple of which were avoidable.
