Same as ryan80 except Rauf at (5) for Hill. Not much to chose between Rauf, Hill and Davies.
I think Taufel and Dar perhaps make fewer mistakes but all these umpires at times give excellent and tough decisions which are proved right.

The most difficult ones for me are snicks down the leg side or off the bottom of the bat and of course the bat/pad appeals and whether the ball has carried for catches. Pitching in line or not can also be tricky.

My top 5 now would be:
1) Dar
2) Gould
3) Taufel
4) Rauf
5) Bowden

Hill and Kettleborough aren't too far behind, but both are prone to the odd bad session!!!

I have to say I find Dar a bit overrated and dont have the same confidence in him that others appear to have. Decent umpire but prone to mistakes at times.

Still feel it is Taufel who sets the standards for the others; outstanding umpire with a very high % rate of correct decisions.

As regards English umpires, Gould for me is far ahead of both Kettleborough and Llong. Kettleborough's fast-tracking is another issue I have some problem with. Perhaps its just me but I dont feel modern day English umpires are in the same league as some of our outstanding international umpires of yester-year - David Shepherd, Barrie Meyer, Dickie Bird, Nigel Plews, Ken Palmer and the like

David Shepherd, Barrie Meyer, Dickie Bird, Nigel Plews and Ken Palmer were all great umpires I would also add Peter Willey all seem better then the current lots we have.

Sad to say that Shepherd and Plews are no longer with us both died of Cancer.
