9th February - 1st final, Melbourne (d/n)
England win by 4 wickets

11th February - 2nd final, Sydney (d/n)
England win by 34 runs (D/L Method)

13th February - 3rd final (if needed), Adelaide (d/n)
Not required

England win series 2-0

Stuart Broad of Leicester has been called up to replace Jon Lewis and Chris Tremlett, who are heading home injured.

Can we achieve the unachievable, make the impossible possible, and bring home the Commonwealth Bank Series crown?!

Don't be stupid!

If I can beat Crispy at Fantasy Football, anything is possible. :D

Seriously though, the 3rd final won't be needed, as the Aussies will take the first two comfortably. Let's face it, we're *&%$ when there's anything at stake at the moment!!

Personally I cant see it, but it would be wonderful to salvage something from a disasterous tour.

I really can't see us beating Australia in a best of 3 matches.

I can't see us beating Australia full stop. I know we beat them during the main series, but Australia were in the final by quite a distance by then so their performance levels dropped sufficiently such that our performances were sufficient to beat them.

Had the Aussies been in a situation where they could have done with victory in the game, they would have won it.

As mentioned previously, cricket is too painfully hard for me to watch at the moment.

For me, england could't beat a team of chanismoking grannies in their carpet slippers

TBH I went to bed this morning when they were 3 wickets down and not looking too good, yet when I wake up they have won.

I serioulsy thought I was still transfixed in a dream that wouldn't end. Scary really. B)

Do you work night shifts or something?

Can't see how else you can sleep through the entire match, since I tuned in this morning at about 08:00, when England were 15-3!

Yes I do work nights, that is why the site is laden with posts by myself at stupid o'clock.

I have just finished 7 night shifts from 23.00 - 07.30. That's why I went to bed when England were doomed, and woke to find the impossible had been acheived. B)

Rain stops play again....that must be it surely.

Has to go down as one of the most brilliant muggings the cricket world has ever seen.

Wish those Aussies would give us a competitive One Day match. Our boys travel all that way, and......
Well done England.

Apparently the entire England team has been arrested for crimes to fair play...

Seriously though I'm glad we've won it but do not feel I can celebrate this considering how well we played over the series.

What I'm not happy about, is no more cricket to wake up to

The world cup is just around the corner, and with the matches starting at 1345 British time, there's plenty of cricket to wake up to! :D

Only Flip will wake up to that. Mind you, if the content of my school lessons is as exciting then as it is now...

Ha! Think how I feel.
"Right kids, for todays English lesson I want you to observe the grammar content the commentators use in the following England match". Geography lessons are also gonna be affected; I'll shift the topic from transport to the carribean.
And finally, Harmissons first delivery of the last ashes series can be used to disprove pretty much any law of physics that a teacher here has ever taught.

Aren't you a PE teacher ATM? In which case you can surely justify watching the cricket as a 'watch and learn' exercise! :D

Classic!

You could combine the two topics to give transport in the carribean?

DTR- He teaches both.
