Can we talk about the 6 Nations Fantasy League in here too, or is that strictly for the Fantasy Competitions? |

Me too, but thought i'd pull him on the confusion it could cause. He don't normally make mistakes you know, it's like a Jamie Carragher goal. Once in a blue moon. :D |

Right, well, erm, Six Nations, yeah. Well, erm, it's rugby union, fifteen men passing and kicking an egg shaped ball around. Erm, we (as in England!) are rubbish at it, and well, we won't win it! Erm, possibly apart from that I don't, erm, yeah, really know what to say on the subject! :P |

Stuart Barnes is rumoured to be terrified sky TV read your analysis of the wrong code of rugby Cripsy. Apparently they'll want you to present "the rugby club" on a regular basis. On a kinda unrelated issue, you may be interested to know I had the (mis)fortune of meeting a Rhino's fan whilst working out at my local gym. A few carefully selected barbs into it, I told him I was at a school and we only play u##on to my dissapointment. Turns out he is a PE teacher at a neighbouring school, and also experiences frustration that they only know the 15 a side game. We're going to get a series of "friendlies" sorted, using proper rules. No doubt the schools game will imitate super league, with my beloved Bulls running rampant over the inferior Rhinos's. A charity sidebet, which I'm not going to lose, has added to the excitement. No doubt I'll let you know when we put one over your boys again. My Cousin reckons he might be able to hook us up with a star ref to contribute to the fundraising. I know who we won't be inviting. Or the gact that your NZ import scrum half was daft enough not to accept the three points that were on offer following the advanatge that they held on to far far too long . Oh and they fell asleep after scoring and allowed the French a soft try ....come on Chris ....can't blame Steve Walshe for that .... |

:D Walsh had a shocker, and the fact that he was mouthing off in the press during the week only makes it more unsettling. If he'd actually played the advantage like he was supposed to when Geordan Murphy went clear in the second half instead of blowing up more or less straight away for a small and twatty offense... The lad has history with the IRFU - and it's not a good history - frankly I would have preferred someone like Tony Spreadbury or Chris White to have taken that game. And as for whoever thought Steve Walsh was fair, he stuck true to his word from during the week and only refereed one side, Ireland. I lost count of the number of times Betsen was offside and Walsh was busy looking into a ruck trying to catch Ireland out. I'm sick and tired of the Southern Hemisphere refs coming up here and imposing their balls Super 14 view of rugby on us. Lets go back to 6 nations refs for the 6 Nations and we'll put up with Walsh and his cronies every 4 years in the World Cup when we have to Boss was caught in the occassion like a rabbit in the headlights - no defending that - but Walsh DID have a large say in the outcome of the game... |

Rabitt and healights , spot on Chris . But i am afraid the rest is just a hard luck story . Walsh has "history " with a lot of the six nation countries not only the Irish - Irland should have won a game they threw away through thier on lack of awarness you cant blame the referee !!!! |

I think the former is out of the question, but not the latter. Or am I right in thinking the Grand Slam is something to do with beating all the UK Nations? |

No - the Grand Slam is beating everyone. Which is now out the question for Ireland. Beating the other three "home" nations - not entirely out of the question - earns you the Triple Crown. And, as of last year, an actaul tophy. |

So what would it be if France or Italy beat all the home nations? A Great British Victory (not as good a pun as it was meant to be)... |

If France did it, it would most likely be a Grand Slam. If Italy did it, I'd be looking out for the horsemen... |

APR was referring to the four horsemen. That is the guys of the apoloyptic nature, and not the ultra cool group of wrestling bad guys from the mid 80's onwards. Though Ric Flair is still around at 58. Back to the Rugby, what a wondeful spectacle Saturday was. Showed progress in terms of how far Britain and Ireland have come on, with peace taking presidence over constitutional claims and past conflicts. Superb. |

It's worth pointing out, for the record, that PA did NOT enjoy the 1st half in an Irish pub there. |

St Pats Day and T'Irish trounce Italy 24-51. Seems as though O'Gara scored a fair whack, points wise to my delight of course. I wondered what was going on in Manchester when I saw all these people in green with Shamrock hats on. :P |
