A 3-2 win on the way to promotion for the (then) mighty black cats...oh, and the small matter of 3 panelties awarded in the game!

April 27th 2007 was the game.

6 yellows, 3 penalties indeed!

However he did get a play off semi final that season in League 2 believe it or not. Whether that was televised is unclear.

Plus by some miracle he got Ipswich v Norwich in the same season!!

That's good to hear. There's generally very little love about when Trevor Kettle is officiating

Still on (BBC) - L1 at MK Dons, Scunthorpe and Southend, L2 at Cambridge, Carlisle and Coventry. And I was so looking forward to Crewe Alex v Forest Green :'(
A shame the Swindon game is off... Kettle would have been the main attraction on the FL show given the other games have been iced off. :sarcasm: :sarcasm:
Has he ever been in charge of a live game on the TV?
Kettle has been in charge of a number of live TV games:

6/8/2005: Southampton v Wolves
20/1/2006: C. Palace v Reading
19/11/2006: Ipswich v Norwich
23/2/2007: Cardiff v Preston
16/3/2007: Southampton v Colchester
27/4/2007: Sunderland v Burnley
22/9/2007: Ipswich v Coventry
12/11/10: Preston v Hull

Clearly visits to Portman Road with Kettle in charge was worthy of TV coverage....
