Good to see Olli Yates back in action after a long layoff. Roll out the red carpet at Coventry, but seriously why does Coventry v Lincoln need a SG1 ref in charge? Pity in my view that the top L1 game - Blackburn v Wigan - has a SG2 ref and 4O, an ideal appointment for someone like Whitestone. Crucial games at the bottom of L2 for Bugsy (at Barnet) and Anthony Backhouse at Crewe. I may get to see the game at Gresty Road although I'm not putting money on it being played on Saturday in view of the weather forecast. Does the pools panel still sit when needed? :'(

The card shark Breakspear at Southend to add to his stars. Mike Dean in L2 is a surprise to say the least. |

I was rather surprised to see Dean scheduled to be at the Ricoh on Saturday, given that it's not really a top-of-the-table clash. The only unusual aspect of the game is that it is the Coventry City Former Players Association's annual 'Legends Day'. Perhaps Dean misunderstood and got himself the game because he regards himself as a refereeing legend! :innocent: |

Agreed - bit surprising that Mike Dean is at Coventry. I wonder when his last game in League Two was? I'm with Acme Thunderer too - shame that the top-of-the-table clash at Ewood Park goes to a Select Group 2 official, but it's a safe choice from the EFL's perspective. I'm sure Mr Eltringham will have a good game. |

Mr.Johnson a rare visitor to the NW.Saw him at Plymouth when he was injured last season-had a good game.I am sure he can handle the game and not a problem in that sense[actually,I never used the word ' problem'] but geographically unusual. |

I've seen him a couple of times already this season, both away at Charlton (L) and Oxford (W) and I don't remember anything that was detrimental about his performance, so not a problem from this callsign either. |

I suppose it could be that he is staying nearby at that time and asked for a fixture in that area ? I guess that does happen maybe? |

I would have thought most FL games will bite the dust this weekend... I agree with the other posters, simply cancel all this weekend's offerings and reschedule for everyone's safety. |

Bradford, Oxford and Newport have all followed suit with postponements, more likely to follow tomorrow with plenty of pitch inspections planned |

A shame the Swindon game is off... Kettle would have been the main attraction on the FL show given the other games have been iced off. :sarcasm: :sarcasm: |
