The new 'card-shark' on duty at Plymouth, I shall be interested to hear how he gets on ;-)

A good game at the top of L2 for Andy Woomer, Luton v Exeter. No Championship middles for Andy following his return from injury, and I am wondering whether he is winding down on the grounds of age and fitness :sherlock:

Breakspear has an astonishing 110 yellows and 13 reds so far this season in just 27 games.

7 of those reds in the last 7 games.

Makes the original card shark from the Wirral look tame!!

He did have 7 in 4 games, but the last 2 were for MK against Peterborough, where you would struggle to find more obvious Reds.. so maybe he is just a victim of circumstance.. I await with interest.

Breakspear has added another two red cards to his collection tonight as a late replacement at Yeovil!!!

Surely circumstance isn't the whole reason for 9 reds in 8 games.

BOth Anthony Backhouse and Scott Oldham have already gone off injured at their respective games this afternoon! Bizarrely the second Bradford game in a row for Backhouse where he hasn’t lasted the first half!
Life's a bitch, and then you die

Dreadful decision imho by Mark Heywood to award Scunthorpe a penalty for handball and (even worse) to send off Fleetwood's Eastham for the handball. The ball struck Eastham's arm following a header from no more than a few feet away and was not even going into the goal when it hit his arm. And Scunthorpe scored from the penalty in a 3-2 win. Dreadful!

He was quite good yesterday , showed restraint early on then appropriately carded , as I said in my other post my only critic would be he was far too quick on the whistle , other than that he was just fine .

I had to see it twice to be sure what I was seeing. Even if he adjudged it is handball I'm far from convinced it was DOGSO. I anticipate a successful appeal (although with the usual caveat about the randomness of the panel's decisions.)

I believe you have the pleasure of Mr Heywood's company this weekend at Donnies ;-)

Who ended up refereeing the Accrington v Swindon game and making a pigs ear out of what was absolutely clearly a red card apiece to the to fighting players?

Red card rescinded. We do indeed have Mr. Heywood although last time he did one of our games (v. Scunthorpe in the FA Cup) he wasn't bad. Just a bit lenient towards Scunthorpe's strongarm tactics late in the game.

Good, I'm pleased that the RC has been rescinded. A mistake in my view to award a penalty in the first place and an even bigger mistake to send the player off for what was clearly not a goal scoring opportunity.
