Good derby game at Doncaster for David Webb. Andrew Miller out as 4O at Carlisle but still no sign of his father nor Brendan Malone.

Big 2 games for Ahntony Backhouse with Bury and Wigan in the next week. Wasn't aware Natalie Aspinall was promoted to National List lines.

We had David Webb a few weeks ago at Blackburn. While I'm not complaining (we won that game) I find it odd that we get a referee again so soon.

How are bury v Plymouth and Wigan v Northampton 'big games'?

Unless I'm mistaken, no sign also of Lee Collins or Mark Haywood, both of whom didn't feature towards the end of last season either.

Backhouse is a first year referee. He's possibly the first to be given a League One game. Two in a matter of days in fact.

Not in themselves big games, of course.

Lee was 4O to Nick Kinsley at Cambridge on 2nd Sept but has not been seen since on the EFL. No indication of a change so we should assume that he fulfilled this duty. Andy Woolmer is another who has been having 4O duties so far this season, but he was out of action towards the end of last season. I thought I had seen Mark Haywood (from W Yorks) but he doesn't appear to have had an appointment on the EFL. Cup game perhaps? Ollie Yates is another but he was recovering from long term injury at the end of last season, I wish him well.

Baiting?

It was a fair question. I'd have asked the same had my own team been involved.

I think you need to chill out a bit.

Nick Kinseley (note the first "e") is not the greatest referee but he certainly wouldn't cause one to give up the game!

Perversely, he's making his first competitive appearance at Roots Hall on Saturday - just 12 miles and a 20 minute drive away from his Wickford home.

It was a fair question. Two matches involving four teams with an average League position of 17th are categorically not "big" matches.

The pressure of more home defeats is clearly too much down Devon way.

Actually, thinking about it, that's now a real relegation six-pointer at Gigg Lane, so it's bigger than first thought.

Taken and responded with the similar amount of 'banter' with which it was written...too many take or only see the serious side of any comment(s) too quickly.
As has been said, some need to take the chill pill before they do themselves some serious damage. :tu:
