First League middle of the season for Lee Swabey (I think!)

Good game for Kavanagh at the Den following his appointment in the East Midlands derby.

Would imagine he will get a PL game sooner rather than later.

Why is there a SG2 Referee on 4o duties in League 2? How is Scott Duncan doing this season? Has he been injured as I haven't seen him in weeks on the list?

Who is the SG2 ref on 4O duties in L2? Certainly not Andy Haines who is the only FL ref on 4O duties in L2. Scott Duncan is in charge of tonight's L1 fixture at Bolton, having taken charge of the fixture at Hillsborough the weekend before when he rightly sent off two PNE players for fighting. So definitely not one who has been out of action as far as I know. A good ref imo.

Andy Haines I always thought was one of the far better ones in the lower leagues and fully expected Andy to become a SG2, looks like I have made an assumption. Is Scott Duncan SG2? Bit surprising isn't it to have National List referees on 4o duties

Rob Lewis went off at half-time at Wycome today after a torrid first period. I think fourth official Alan Young replaced him as the assistants looked the same.

The new referee, whoever he was, actually had a good half, much better than Mr Lewis. The Shropshire-based official angered the home fans with some odd calls, and was generally very lenient with fouls. He especially let a lot of aerial duels go when there was clear pushing and holding. Still, perhaps the injury had something to do with it.

Rob Lewis does seem to be very injury prone, doesn't he?

Probably a transcription error but Sunday Times has Andrew Garratt down as referee for the Scunthorpe v Millwall game. He is shown as AR on the appointments page. I've not seen the highlights on Goal Rush, was it the familiar figure of Roger East on this match or did Garratt take over from the start or during the game?

Roger East certainly refereed it, not heard reports of him being replaced mid-game

If Roger East had gone off then I imagine John Busby would have replaced him. It would have been Alan Young at Wycombe as he's a 2A.

Alan Young is a good referee. I've seen him a number of times in Conference South or whatever it is these days and he has always looked assured.

As you were. I have seen Goal Rush now and it looks like Roger East at Scunthorpe. I've also noted that the Sunday Times has 'A Hendley' down for refereeing the Walsall v Bradford City game. Probably something to do with the ST pre-Christmas :pint: or two...

Definitely Roger East on Scunthorpe vs Millwall. Ben Toner is harder to distinguish but I think it is him.

Yes, I would agree Ben Toner i/c at Walsall rather than Andrew Hendley. A fairly small, thin, young-looking guy.

I think it is lower league "laziness" in publishing again.

Definately Ben Toner at Walsall - Andy Hendley was one of his assistants.

Rob Lewis really doesn't have much luck with injuries...here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
