2002 Jetta Auto to Manual ECU Swap

I have an 02 Jetta 1.8t. Was automatic, now manual. Check engine light is on because automatic transmission is missing. Wanting to replace ECU with a manual transmission ECU to fix the problem. Tips on doing this? I have VCDS as I think keys need to be re-programmed. If anyone has any info or experience with this, please let me know (help is greatly appreciated), or if anyone has an ECU for a 2002 Jetta 1.8t standard transmission, cuz I still need one of those too :)
Thanks dudes!
