Well time to start rebuilding all the old threads! Cleaned and de fogged the tail's and headlights with 2000 grit sandpaper and polish! |

found the hole in the backside of the block. its about the size of a baseball. at first glance, I'd say its an assembly failure on my part. the cap worked its way off the #1 rod. thus punching a hole. won't know for sure til I get it apart. cars are fun right? no wonder I'm starting to like mountain biking more..... |

ewww i feel your pain mike... solved my viberation problem. took a wheel exam to find the problem. ended up swaping the passenger side wheels front to back and centering them on thr hub. now i need to find some hub centering rings... |

Replaced yet another hose on the Passat... now I think there are only two or three left in that engine bay that I have yet to replace. Also, I repaired the failing neutral safety switch... hopefully it holds up and does not eject itself from the transmission again. All in a days work... |

pulled the head to find it may very well be salvageable. but I'm confused as to what caused what to shit the bed. any insights? the piston had the chunk out of it, presumably taken by the valves. I pried it out with my finger and it split in half. fun eh?

i think the wrist pin sezied up. pistons should not shear off like that... |
