With this notorious event kicking off at 9pm this evening, here are a few clues as to who will be entering the most famous house in the UK.

* One housemate does stand-up comedy

* One housemate has been deported from America

* One housemate is a DJ

* One housemate is a Buddhist

* One housemate is Muslim

* One housemate wears a watch worth £13,000

* Three housemates have children

* Three housemates were born outside the UK

* One housemate has appeared in a film with Hugh Grant

* One housemate has had a breast enlargement

* One housemate has never watched Big Brother

* The oldest housemate is 42

I'm quite looking forward to seeing the one with the 'breast enlargement' :$

I do have a serious question however, has thing gone on long enough now? ^o)

That depends! It does need a bit of spicing up, I haven't been too impressed with the last couple - the people are too zany TBH. What is wrong with "normal" people, rather than picking twelve (or however many) eccentrics? A mix is OK, but we don't need one person from every extremic demographic going!

Three words. Big Brother Four.

It needs people who will clash, as that's what provides the entertainment. People getting along happily isn't great TV, which is what it is! No doubt the usual mob will come out criticising it, without having watched it.

I'll no doubt watch the opener tonight, and then every now and again. Even after all these years, it's still worth a watch.

I'm not saying we need 12 grey-suited businessmen and women, but SOME people who fit the normalisation bracket wouldn't go amiss! Yes, we can have some oddballs, but everyone doesn't need to be one!! :P

Right, all 16 are in, time for my early predictions, hopefully in the order they went into the house...

Mario: Seems a bit up himself. Seems to be one of those people who tries to be dominant in a relationship but hasn't got a clue on how do it properly. I don't like him.

Lisa: Seems a bit dull in comparison to Mario, but they make the 'perfect' couple. Two deadbeats for one another. Happy days.

Luke: Very swish, very swish lol :P . Ealry impressions of him are that he could go a long way. Seems to be a likeable sort of guy, dresses sort of OK. I would expect him to have a lot of views if he is doing Politics. Seems a bit feminite, but a likeable sort of guy, the one you would go to be cheered up.

Steph(anie): Drop dead gorgeous. Stunning figure, fantastic pair of pins and an all round goddess. She's going to be fuming that she is with Mario, with others in there who quite clearly took her fancy. Stunning girl though, and very suprised that she is single. :o

Rachel: Apart from being an Avril Lavigne lookalike (oh yes :$ ) and a trainee teacher, she also has the sweetest Welsh accent. I think she could be one of those who lights up the house all the time with incessant ramblings. She seems a very likeable person, and I too think she could go far.

Dale: Not impressed by him at all. A male chauvanistic pig i'd say. Quite attractive like, but apart from wanting sex with some of the girls, I doubt he will bring much to the house.

Sylvia: Has attitude, which I like. Seems to be very oppinionated but didn't really see much of her as she went into the background very quickly.

Dennis: There's something about him that makes me think he might be gay? Seems to be full of energy and could be quite an eccentric person who will bring a lot of humour to the house. I'd hate to see him 'dancing' though :D

Michael: Not sure what to make of him to be honest. He comes over as a bit of a geek - one of those guys who blitzed Space Invaders and has high scores on everything. Seems a very nice bloke though, and could be the source of many intellectual conversations.

Alexandra: B*tch. Something about her right from the off that I don't like. She's decent eye candy like, but I just can't put my finger on it. Don't like her.

Rex: Bit of a suave bloke and I like him. He reminds me of Cesar, but not as sleazy. Has a great dress sense and seems to be a likeable guy with an air of shyness to him. Could go far.

Mohammed: I had to laugh when he said 'Not all Mohammed's are terrorists'. Whilst 100% true, I can see him cracking jokes about it all the same. Looks very young for 23, and is one of my early favourites to win.

Rebecca: What a complete t*t. She is out of there at the first opportunity. As has been proven in previous series' the loudest one at the start goes. The whole of Coventry must be cringing at the thought of people judging their city on that thing in there. It's a shame really as she came accross in the video intro as a really nice girl, but - no bloody wonder she aint no good with guys

Darnell: Whilst I do love an American accent, there is something about him that makes me think he will kill someone at the first given opportunity. Seems a little strange, and has a bizarre sense of style. Slippers and white socks. :| He is my dark horse however.

Jennifer: My my my, where I do start with this sexy Cheryl Cole look-a-like Geordie lass eh? Apart from her stunning looks, divine figure, superb legs and melting smile I genuinely see a brilliant girl in her. Will be one of the most likeable housemates this year, and has the persona to go far IMO.(I'm watching all of BB this year, if only for her and Steph  )

Kathreya: Had to laugh again when she said, 'Ven I goh to da parteh, dey aou fink a on dwog' PMSL.
Cookie monster with a garish dress sense. Seems to be a cosy sort of person, someone you could have a really good natter too. I do think her energetic style may grate some people though.

So, after all that my early prediction would be Mohammed, if not him one of the stunners, Steph(anie) or Jennifer.

Not too sure on the whole couple secret mission thing, I'd have liked to see Steph get to know some of the guys and girls, but I'm guessing she is going to think she has to be with Mario. Could make interesting viewing though as Lisa's face was a masterpiece. :cheer:

Well I've learnt over the years never to judge them on first appearances. However, I dislike nearly all of them. I like Rachel, Dale, and Luke. Mario grew on me, and seemed quite nice once there were other people around. I actually thought Alexandra was quite good, but obviously I missed something. My clear favourite though is Kathreya. I love people like that, who are happy, good for a laugh, and don't take themselves too seriously. Her broken english will undoubtedly be the source of many a hilarity as well.

All the rests can do one.

Btw, how many northerners are there this year?! :| ^o) :P

Well, they seem generally to be reasonably normal so far, which is good to see. Yes, there are a few people who think they are "it", but that isn't too bad.

Generally, I agree with flip's comments - nice to see some very likeable eye candy in the house - let's hope it's a glorious summer weatherwise! ;-)

Likewise though, I'll give it a couple of weeks before making any major decisions on who I like and dislike! :P

Go on Bex!! Do the city proud. Obviously she's not going to win it, she'll be out pretty soon, but no flip you can't judge the city on just that girl. There are some quiet, genuine, nice people here too!!

Every time someone entered, she just screamed at them and hugged and kissed them - i'm gonna get sick of this lol. Thought Kathreya is quality, she will be a good laugh in there. Can't wait to see this secret mission, it's a tough one.

I am slightly embarassed to say, hand on heart, I have never watched BB! However from what my friends say, I don't think I'm missing out. I think the whole thing has just about gone on enough now.

Judging from what I have seen so far of BB9, I would have to concur - I have seen nothing so far that would actually want to make me stay in and watch it than go to the pub and watch Euro2008! :P

Well, three weeks in and we have two housemates REMOVED for unacceptable behaviour. Dennis being the latest for allegedly spitting in Mohammed's face last night. Evictions go ahead tonight as planned.

It is starting to get more interesting, whether it was normal "early week syndrome" I don't know, but I'm getting in to it more this year.

Got to agree with Flip though - Jennifer is absolutely gorgeous, and dressed up as the stylist in the latest task mmmmmm mmmmmm mmmmmmm (insert drool!); Rachel is pretty fine as well!! :-)

It's amazing what a bit of slap does though, having seen her 'naked' today, and looking rough. ^o)

I caught the conversations about the fight just before i went to bed last night, so it'll be interesting to see what happened. Sounds like a repeat of the Victor/Emma fight from BB5. If Dennis did spit in Mohammed's face, then he deserved to go, as there is never any need for that and it's disgusting. Sounds like there have been further smaller arguments all day as the house has split right into two camps.

I can see BB throwing in another HM just to try and get the focus away from the fight, and give them all something to talk about so that they aren't at war for the next 10 weeks!

Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill! If Jen hadn't acted such a diva, none of that would have happened! Rex apologised, and it all seemed to be finished, but Jen obviously felt the need to ham it up for another hour, which ultimately, and inevitably lead to the testostorone (and phlegm) flying.

Thought that what Dennis did was absolutely disgusting and out of order. However I didn't think Mohamed should have been there in the first place, why did he have to get involved?
I agree with DTR, Jennifer made a big big deal out of something trivial, at least Rex apologised, but what I didn't like is when he told Jen that he'd smudged the painting, he was laughing. Didn't like that at all.
Will be interesting now without Sylvia, see how the house reacts (mainly Stuart :P)
Also, thought the orderers of the shopping were mean to Kat. She dosen't drink, dosen't smoke or nothing. All she likes is cookies and a drink to dip them in!
Joking aside, I think Jen, Mikey and Lisa were a bit greedy by miscalculating and putting cookies at the bottom of the list, which BB wipes out if they overspend, and they even told Kat they were near the top of the list. Unfair IMO.

our Bex to win!!

I've not watched it since me Ma went on her Jollies but I read a bit of it in The Sun today, and it would appear I have missed it all.
I was looking at the pictures of Jen and Rachel (that's why we get The Sun isn't it, for the pictures?) and whilst reading I suddenly had the most peculiar of thoughts - future Nuts/Zoo covergirls?

Not that I am complaining mind, I just want a really hot summer :P

Note to self: Get watching it

And covboy, if 'Our Bex' wins, you have my word, I shall sing 'Viva Ronaldo' ontop of Manchester Town Hall in a United Kit.

The latest odds show that Jennifer's "spat" (no pun intended!) with Rex has landed her the outsider to win.

Kathreya EVS
Darnell 3/1
Luke 9/1
Michael 10/1
Rachel 10/1
Mohamed 20/1
Rex 20/1
Mario 20/1
Dale 33/1
Stuart 33/1
Rebecca 40/1
Lisa 50/1
Jennifer 100/1

I really have no particular housemate who I am completely 'glued' to this year (with the exception of Jen and Rachel's looks!)

However, I have a definite dislike for Darnell and Rex. Luke is funny in his own particular way! Kat's total accent is just HIRARIOUS!!

The whole 'jail' situation is getting a bit silly. If the inmates are being punished, then they should be PROPERLY punished! :P

Woah there tiger, it's meant to represent 'reality', and their jail does exactly that!

As for favourites, I like Darnell. He talks a hell of a lot of common sense, seems to have the best morals of anyone in there, and stands up for what he thinks is right. However, my favourite is still Kat. Luke I still like as well, even though he's extremely bitchy, but he manages to do it in an unspiteful, funny way, unlike the likes of Jen, Rex and Dale.

I don't mean they should be executed or anything like that!! Just that they should be kept a bit more "from the group", be it by having some form of perspex screen where they can see out but no-one can see in (i.e. so they can see what they are missing).

To be fed by the rest of the group by passing things through the bars isn't exactly "representing reality" IMO. :P
