I'm sure it's that, but I remember way back when the Net Movies were still NET movies, Takenoko said they had no interest in doing them because they were mostly Showa in-jokes.  And /m/ threw a fit over it.

I mean, I'm sure the decision had very little, if anything, to do with us.  But it is one of our higher profile projects.  And it stinks that they wouldn't just let the little guys have this one.

Oh well, we'll finish them either way.

Just think of it as a preemptive scrub!

Ha!

Sky: In episode 21, for line 5, you have that Rider 2 is a "mero" type person. Does that mean something, or is "cheerful/open minded" supposed to go there instead? I can't find anything about it in Japanese!

Mellow?

That's what I thought. But I can't seem to find any other use in Japanese. Is it a word that they would commonly borrow?

Unrelated to this episode, this is from Nerefir: "In episode 48, this is what Eiji is referring to: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/worl...52338.ece"

My dictionary gives "merou" as "mellow" *shrug*.

Mine too, but I wasn't sure, whether is this the right word to describe "nigo's" personality. What's the meaning of "mellow" in this sentence?

Let's finish the Net Movies. We started them back in May, there's no reason to stop working on them just because another group wants to pick them up at the same time.

I didn't asked because of this, rather, what's the plan of release, if I say so.

Give you next week complete 10 episode? They are small, so is waste of place to post them alone.

Would "laid-back" or "chill" be a better translation in this case?
Just an outsider's opinion.

Oh, ok! Yeah, that sounds fine. Let's finish these Net Movies, and then we can get back to our regular releases. But you should take a break after that! You've been releasing so many scripts lately. Whenever you're ready, we'll get back to Rider 2.

Sky, for Sieg's line in episode 28 that you couldn't understand, this is what I have:

"Doesn't the name Skyrider perfectly describe your special skill?"

As in, Sieg is saying that the name Skyrider is perfect for a Kamen Rider that can fly.

If that sounds good, let me know! I'm slowly working on improving my Japanese ;3;

Ah, I see, you may be right. If I look now at it, Skyrider has a problem with "sora tobu rider" and "sky" in previous speech, so maybe Sieg is pointing at this - as in meaning. "Isn't it cleary, that the name Skyrider is the best for you?".
So the

has logic. I think, it sounds good.
What's more confused for me, is the previous line, is it really "originator of TaJaDol combo"? Don't know him, that's why it comes somehow off for me. But that is the best, what I could think about.

Forgot: he's "mellow cheerful person" but for me it don't give a sense, because all I could found was mellow as "sweet" meaning for "fruit". So NiGo is "sweet cheerful person" .. don't think that's the right meaning. Or mellow has other meaning, which I don't know.

TaJaDol is another form of OOO that can fly, because it's based on a bird. Then again, there were plenty of other flying Riders before TaJaDol!

Somebody that is mellow is somebody that doesn't let bad things bother them too much. So maybe it works for Rider 2. It can also mean somebody that's quiet, and doesn't like to get into arguments. But that didn't seem right to me. But it's true that Rider 2 doesn't let his problems interfere with his life, so I guess it works.
