Generation Kikaida released an official licensed subbed box set of this. Rips can be found online if you look hard enough, but there's a strong 'support the industry' vibe.

Of the two V3 movies, only the second one is a real theatrical film(the first one is episode 2 matted for theatrical display). Being that the second film is the only V3 that hasn't been subbed properly, I knew this might pop up eventually so I ripped the subs for it from the HK, so if anyone wants to do it, let me know and I'll put the file up.

But the rips are in mkv format, a format that Windows XP Movie Maker (the version I'm using) isn't compatible with.

Then re-encode them to .avi, IIRC Windows Movie Maker uses that.

Thread maybe is a bit older/maybe I'm a bit late, but nevertheless...

@HenshinLegacy: there also were .avi rips of KR V3 (ep01-27 or so could be 320x240 though). IMO worse then it being .mkv, is that the .mkv are also hardsubs (i.e. subs are burned into the video)...

@starseeker: by typical morals it's like "when it's (us) licensed or comes with official (english) subs, then don't share and buy it" - well, I'm not living in the US, my native language isn't even english and it's not licensed here. By typical morals (which maybe doesn't equal law) I see no problem here.
Also Kikaida's DVDs are region 1 (~US/Canada), see http://www.generationkikaida.com/store/ind...c64aa6a45801bbd , the DVDs have some extras (e.g. "6 Kamen Rider V3 Karaoke Music Videos" & 2 essays), which I haven't seen around in the net and maybe it's also possible to turn the dvd subs off, which imo would make it better than those hardsubbed avis/mkvs).

@çõƒWƒƒƒK[: hmm, why not simply post it?
Here are .srts of some HK-eng KR movies (thanks to zodaex who once shared some softsubbed mkvs of it - though his subs where DVD picture subs (idx+sub) - & SupRip (the .sub had to be renamed to .vob) & HK dudes & ? for masked rider special 2 - dunno what special 1 is - aka KR ZX, 60min version. Couldn't rip the chinese subs of KR ZX, 'cause I can't type non-europe signs - and even can't type all european signs (e.g. 'cause of northern european languages). MCS also did ZX but afaik they only made a softsub for the 45min version and not for the 60min one, where they only had a hardsubbed avi - :(.
For 8 Riders vs. Galaxy King it's a Port-Engl. translation through google and the HK-engl. translation out of a hardsubbed avi, still with the timing of that port. script from JapaSubs; the port. script afair once came with a ~475mb raw of it.
Notes:
1: '' (2x ') maybe should be changed to "
2: for proper names etc. maybe try wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamen_Rider_Series etc.)
3: to replace names, terms (like Transform->Henshin, Masked Rider->Kamen Rider) and the thing under 1, I'd recommend Notepad++ & search/replace thing

If you really have to put it that way, pretty sure about half of the members in this place is not living in the US, and probably half of it don't even speak English as their native language. Heck, I'm not living in US and speak English as the native language.

The idea is licensing and officially subbing something, especially a really niche show from 1973 that's licensed for niche reason in the first place (pretty sure it was licensed because it was shown in Hawaiian TV back then), took major resource and money to do it, hence the somewhat ridiculous price tag. Showing your support by buying it will lead to both the one licensing and the owner of the property learning that there are market for it, which may or may not lead to more shows being licensed with lower prices. It's nothing different from saying thanks for a fansubbing group for subbing stuffs you like, except with money and boy, do they deserve it.

Of course, pirating it is always an option, especially if you fall in the 'not living where it is licensed' category where there are little to no laws to bound you. Even after saying all that, I did download the V3 boxset rip, so yeah.

tl;dr If you have the money and want to express your gratitude, buy it. If not but you still feel entitled to watch V3 with english subs like I did, then pirate it.
Understand some Japanese. Can also time and maybe upload stuff thanks to new ISP.

I didn't post the file because there's a limit on upload space on this forum(I believe it's 25mb), and I didn't want to waste any space unless someone actually wanted to do it, that's all.

For reference, I have all of the GK box sets, and the subs on all of them are removable. In fact, the subs on every commercially released R1 boxset are removable(Ultraman Tiga, Super Robot Red Baron, Iron King, and 1966 Ultraman).
