Goddamn who the hell encoded this mess. The vertical resolution is an odd number, I can only crop by even numbers and it needs a multiple of 4 at the very least.

I have no idea. I think UK Windom found it on the internets.

Let's just burn it, with fire.

Here's the mkv, if that helps.

I'm about ready to just say EFF IT, and anyone who wants to watch it on their TV can go scratch.

I'm no expert and a bit rusty in video encoding, but you want to encode this video from 710X509 to what resolution? I'd like to try and give it a shot if I can re-encode this file...

The only reason I want to reencode it at all is because the resolution it's at now is causing errors in my video editing software.

If possible, I'd like to get it to 720x480, and then make a hardsubbed AVI from there. Thank you for offering to help!

Here's the video, by the way: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Z99W4EWS

Did I just made a mistake in downloading the correct file? I've download the Kamen Rider Musical which has a 710x478 resolution? or should I download Kamen Rider Decade Live instead.

I managed to convert Kamen Rider Musical from 710x478 to 720x480.

It's not yet a full conversion. I just convert a small clip from the video for a sample demo if it's the correct aspect ratio or resolution you want?

No, that's the right file. They're the same thing.

That clip seems to work. I ran it through VirtualDub and it doesn't come out all crazy, so the whole thing should be good!

Thank you for your help. This video had me pulling my hair out.

So, I guess, 710x478 is OK now. No need for me to resize the whole video file.

Thanks!

Well, we released the MKV, but I still need the whole video resized to make a hardsub.

How did you convert it? I might be able to do it on my own to save you the trouble. Unless you're still willing to do it! Let me know, and thanks for the trouble.

Oh, didn't know you guyz released the MKV already. Sometimes my brain process like an old Pentium chip. too slow to pick something up. Anywayz, I have a turtle-like speed connection... uploading might take quite a while... so, I guess it's better for you to do that in your own and specify the settings according to your liking.

I use mostly freeware appz available in the net. I did use Avidemux for windows to convert the file. Simply load the video, select the compression format, go to filters and select Resize then disable/uncheck the Lock Aspect Ratio then adjust your desired resize dimension and fire away. That's about it. You can also opted for Mencoder for Windows... I used avidemux and mencoder most of the time in my ubuntu-box.

Hope this help!

Thanks!

When I load it into AVIdemux, it says something about B-Frames and losing frame accuracy. Is this normal? I'm going to give it a shot anyway, but I don't want to learn to do it the wrong way for future projects.
