Hey guys, what's up.

Noticed that there's a Spanish sub of Kuuga thanks to a post on /m/.

Maybe we could get a Spanish speaking /m/an to translate this into English? If this has been mentioned before, I apologize.

Well silly me, I suppose. The title did say Spanish subs, though. Too bad.

So after all that shit, i'm working on Kuuga 9 again, and I have a question:

There's a line that basically goes like this:

Kid A: blah blah blah, i'm not asking you (omae)!
(He uses 'omae' - basically an impolite version of 'you')
Kid B: Hey, you shouldn't say 'omae'!

And then there's another line that goes like:

A: ArigaTOTEMPOLE!
Which is, basically, some kind of a random and out of place pun.

I'm not sure if there's a good english equivalent for those lines, any ideas? Worst come to worst, there's the tl note option, but i'm not too fond of it.
Understand some Japanese. Can also time and maybe upload stuff thanks to new ISP.

either add a swear word of choice to Kid A's line in the first one, or make Kid B's line into something like 'You don't have to be so rude!', unless you're a weaboo, getting the same sort of meaning works for me. You could also say "I have a name you know!" but the 'rude' line sounds best to me. I deal with this a lot in Goldran...

Same with word puns, just find some way to screwily write Thanks, whether with attaching/replacing another word or just adding an -er or -achu or something. Tanks, Sank you very much, Thankuuga, I don't know I'm crashing, good luck.

I agree with sasword. When you say kid, how old are we talking? If it's a young kid, I'd go with "I'm not freakin' talking to you!" If he's older, then you can use the harsher word of your choice. It just ruins the flow when the swearing seems out of place.

As for the second one, I've found that Japanese puns work best left alone, with a liner note. One of the few times I've EVER forgave them. But, I'd rather see the liner notes separate from the video itself. Like in a text file, or a separate sub track if there were enough notes to justify that.

Young, as in kindergarten kids.

Yeah, I'd go with "freakin"
I hear kids saying that all the time in my daughter's class, and they think it's a BIG swear. It has that childish ring to it, too.

Finally done! With a very big emphasis on finally, i might add.

I'll leave it to you guys and everyone else to encode, t-l check, QC, etc. I'm going to shut down all my other bandwidth so my currently shitty internet can finish downloading Climax Heroes. (It does not help much, by the way. I'm downloading at around 13 or so kb/s)
