im not so sure about this. i dont think milan will let go gilardino that easily considering him being their primary target this summer.

as for gilardino himself, i got this news from xt just now saying that he is now an interista! but still the news hasnt been 100% comfirmed yet

alah, milan mana nak berbelanja sangat nak beli gilardino... crespo pun dia orang gaduh ngan chelsea, nak mintak loan lagi setahun... punyala kedekut mengalahkan juventus fc...

sekarang vieri dah pergi ke milan, for free... minat betul acmilan kumpul sebanyak mungkin pemain-pemain "veteran"....

Realistically, i'm quite saddened by the news and still overwhelmed by it at the moment and i have to admit, Vieri is not an impact player nowadays. Crespo was the right one. We've lowered our ambition level to not move for Crespo and instead go for an old classic instead.

But come to think of it, if anyone runs Milan, Crespo is rated 15M and Vieri is free, who would you sign? We(Milan) have to save money in 'that' mega deal.

Crespo is 30, and you would've had to pay a relatively hefty fee to Chelsea for him. Vieri is only a little older, and just as profilic a goalscorer if not more so than Crespo.

I understand that it's a concern about the average age of your strike force, but we've already got a world class goalscorer in Sheva. So there's no real need to splurge on another one, when you can get a proven goalscorer like Vieri for nothing, even if he's in his twilight. Milan's problem has forever been who plays with Sheva, or in place of him when he is injured. I would rather have Vieri there if Sheva is injured than plenty of other people (who we could have realistically got for free).

But if u ask me gilardino is not coming, i cant see a squad of shevy-vieri-inzaghi-gilardino , all of them too important and too self centred and ego conscious to sit on the bench for more than 2 games in a row, especially with a world cup season and everyone wants regular football..

The only positive is that Vieri is free - and that historically(recent) players who tend to move cross - town perform to a good level.
Plus Vieri has good friends here in Milan like Inzaghi etc - so we might see better attitude from him here.

p.s :It's just sad now that Crespo probably won't be returning to Milan again this season. I grew to really like him and he scored some important goals for us. Who will ever forget the brace against Man Utd or the brace against Liverpool in the Champions League Final.

WELCOME DEAR BOBO!!

this is not offending ur points but just a lil discussion :) ;)
vieri's no more prolific striker. he just want to end his carrier at Milan. dont tell me this is a GOOD transfer deal between him and crespo. even crespo's tag is around 15mil, i think Milan can afford it easily.

Vieri produce nothing for Inter last season while crespo is a good goalscorer since sheva injured. how come ppl say vieri is much better than crespo?? hehehe..vieri just found no place for him anymore at inter unless adriano move to chelsea.

milan shouldnt save their money for vieri.... B)

just messing around with milan strikers...

1st place would be sheva B)
2nd place definitely would be hernan crespo (milan let this player go...)
3rd = tommasson
4th = inzaghi

and last choice would be Cristian Vieri.

but friend, i agreed with u especially both games againts crappy Man United. ;) ;)

im surprised.

first,

your deal with gilardino is near completion

second,

vieri - egotistical and useless now he may be, he has the right experience and has a rather 'impressive' goal tally to his name. he came for FREE, which is a good deal for someone of his ... competence in serie a and europe.

third,

vieri may very well be used on the bench. experienced, and for free. a good addition for milan's depth. its not like milan bought him as a first choice striker if the deal with gilardino falls through

fourth,

the deal with crespo collapsed even before the vieri one.. so not getting crespo had nothing to do with milan signing vieri.

Well excuse me for breathing.Did me or its just that You just don't know that you are a scandal of a club stealing people's coaches and hiring drug addicts as players and hiring referees. You just beat a Roma team reeling from various incidents this year dealing with Capello, palyers, Mexes, and Frisk. You just beat them and think you are on top? Inter beat them 3 to 1. Inter suck crap. So what is your achievement? Staying top with Milan only to fukin lose it at the end?

WHAT?? THATS IS BECAUSE U SUCK!! END OF STORY!!

What an awful transfer. Probably this means goodbye Gila

What the hell is happening with YOUR transfer market, wahai Milan? U give away Abbiati and instead hire a Greek clown that was the #2 at Messina? U give away Dhoraso who was really promising in the matches he played for U and hired a unspectacular Vogel, a player that even the fans of PSV did not rate very high.

U dont reconfirm Crespo who played quite well for U and wanted to stay badly but hire a troublemaking former football player that is so damn past his prime it is almost ridiculous.

all those posts about squad age and our 35+ defence went away , milan are fighting whether to sign crespo who is 30 or vieri 31...and come april U are the most tired team in europe...hahaha

Vieira close to leaving for Juventus
OLIVER KAY and GARY JACOB

One annual transfer saga concluded this week when Steven Gerrard decided to stay at Liverpool, where he may soon be joined by Luis Figo, but that other summer soap opera, the one in which Patrick Vieira comes within a whisker of leaving Arsenal, took an unexpected twist Thursday when it emerged that the London club had entered negotiations to sell their long-serving captain to Juventus.

Arsenal supporters will reassure themselves that they have heard it before about Vieira, who has delighted them by turning down Real Madrid at the last moment in each of the past two summers, but this time it seems that a parting of the ways may be the preferred option for all concerned.

Arsenal are understood to have entertained a delegation from Juventus on Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon, with the Italian club being told that an offer of £18 million will be enough to secure the 29-year-old’s services.

Juventus are believed to have made an opening offer of about £8 million plus Stephen Appiah, the Ghana midfield player, who is the subject of strong interest from Middlesbrough.

That bid holds no appeal for Arsenal, who are demanding a significantly higher cash sum. If a make-weight were required, their preference would be for a player such as Jonathan Zebina, the French defender, rather than Appiah.

Arsene Wenger, the manager, has identified Mahamadou Diarra, of Lyons, as the most suitable replacement if Vieira is sold.

Even if negotiations go no farther, it is clear that, having entertained and haggled with Roberto Bettaga and Luciano Moggi, respectively vice-president and director-general of the Italian club, Arsenal will consider selling Vieira.

The captain was not at his most influential last season and may be sacrificed as Wenger seeks to reshape his team with younger midfield players such as Francesc Fabregas and Mathieu Flamini.

A new centre forward is also a requirement, with the club still confident of signing Julio Baptista, the prolific Brazil striker, from Seville, as his hopes of joining Real Madrid appear to be ill-founded.

Vieira’s thoughts on a move to Italy are unclear, given that he has previously said he would not return to Serie A after encountering racism during an unhappy spell with AC Milan at the start of his career. But he is understood to have shown little enthusiasm for the prospect of signing an extension to his contract at Highbury, which expires in 2007, and may be tempted by the likely offer of a four-year contract with Juventus.

takpe duke...dia ni 'CONFLICTED'...so u can't blame him for being that way hehehe
anyway, for dear Ismail ekk...here's a little something for ya..
kalau nak kutuk2 Milan..sila buat kat forum kitorang ek..

Dear Ismail,

I am writing to you with regards to the alarming observations from your latest posts in the Milan forum. During your last few posts, you showed a classic case of envy and disturbance. Your posts show that you couldn’t live with the idea that AC Milan is a club of tradition, honor, and more importantly, titles. It is clear that you envy AC Milan for all its achievements. It is clear that you envy AC Milan fans for the pride they feel for such achievements, and it is clear that you are trying to upset them with a string of useless posts.

The alarming side of the above observations is that these are the symptoms of what we call: “Inter” disease. Inter is a disease where the infected person fails to handle his/her feel of failure and inferiority to others (especially AC Milan fans) and redirect it into a hopeless request to blame others for his/her misfortunes through envy, and conspiracy theories. So, Since you're 3 are clearly are not an
Interesti, i suggest u just follow these guideline anyway...

We have been dealing with this disease since 1908. Although we have witnessed several breakthrough achievements during the last 2 decades, only few people were ready to cross the line and rejoin the society as normal human beings. To maintain society advancement, and welfare, the majority of patients was forced to be isolated from the society and was kept in what we call: The Inter Forum. In this case since in this country (is there an INTER nyer forum?..if there's not..go back to
your forum and run along with your liittle 'defensive mechanism' there...

I am offering you the chance of getting treated before it is too late. I have enough evidence that you are at the beginning stage of the disease, and by patience, commitment, and hope, we can bring you back to the healthy side of society. We can admit you to the Anti-Inter program as soon as you decide to get help. Below is a list of treatment sessions that you will be exposed to:

• Session 1: Admitting that you are a loser is half the way only
(32 weeks)
o Session 1A: How to identify yourself as a loser?
o Session 1B: Loser identification classic case: Are you an Inter or a Roma fan?
• Session 2: It is ok to be called loser. You do not have to
respond back (16 weeks)
o Session 2A: What to do if someone calls you Interisti or Roma Merda in this case?
o Session 2B: Does Interesti and Roma Merda mean the same?
o Session 3C: What is the difference between a loser and a sore loser?
• Session 3: Getting rid of the “loser” feeling (2 weeks)
o Session 3A: How does it feel to be an AC Milan fan?
o Session 3B: AC Milan and Pride, two synonyms
o Session 3C: It is all about passion, tradition, and TROPHIES
• Session 4: Rejoining the society – How to act normal?
(4 weeks)
o Session 4A: As far as you do not say Inter or Roma, you are a normal person
o Session 4B: Always wear red and black colors, get rid of the tight Red!
o Session 4C: Interacting with healthy people: A guide for hanging out with people

If you decide that it is time to get help, we are here for you. Please do not hesitate to contact us. It is your call!

Sincerely,

Minor Threat aka Grimlock....

juventus is a "scandal" of a club... wow... mighty big words they are...

especially coming from a fan of a club where their captain spits at one ref, and supporters who injure OTHER referees, and a management who steal players from other clubs(mexes)... Scandalous indeed...

and also i agree... beating Roma WASN'T one of our main achievements this past season, considering the fact that almost everyone ELSE also beat you guys last season... nothing to be proud of really, but it WAS fun nonetheless... And we're probably going to do it again NEXT season too...
