yeah you can't trust what Moggi says... the same actually could be applied to Capello (remember his, "i'll never join Juve" statement?), but in all fairness, Vieira is a player Juve might need to buy... Juventus reveal 'wish to buy' Vieria from Soccernet Juventus have reportedly targeted Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira after rejecting Chelsea's £30million bid for their France striker David Trezeguet. Patrick Vieira: The Arsenal captain on Juventus' shopping list (JoeGiddens/Empics) The Italian champions insist Trezeguet is not for sale as Fabio Capello builds a squad to defend their Scudetto title. And Vieira is seen as the man to partner Brazilian Emerson at the heart of the team. Chelsea apparently turned to Trezeguet - Juve's third-choice frontman behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alessandro Del Piero - after failing to lure Samuel Eto'o or Andrei Shevchenko from Barcelona and AC Milan respectively. Blues chief Jose Mourinho continued his search after both Didier Drogba and Mateja Kezman failed to impress last season despite Chelsea's Premiership title triumph. Roman Abramovich looks like being forced to look elsewhere after Juve managing director Luciano Moggi dismissed their approach for Trezeguet out of hand while appearing to test the water with regards a move for Vieira. He told The Sun: 'They made a formal offer for Trezeguet. But none of our `champion' players is for sale. 'What we want now is to find a midfield partner for Emerson - and our wish is to buy Patrick Vieira if Arsenal are willing to sell. 'Obviously, they will not let him go cheaply, as he is a magnificent, winning midfielder. But if Arsenal are willing to do business, we'd buy him tomorrow.' ---------------------- Last season, the only real inconsistency in line-up (other than the forward positions) have been who to partner Emerson in midfield... Earlier in the season, Manuale Blasi was used a lot, but he is hardly assured of a first team place, since towards the end of the season, Capello has used a variety of other players to partner Emerson, especially Appiah... so it seems that there is a priority to buy a partner for emerson this coming season... Giannichedda has been bought already, and he does seem to be able to fit into this role, but i hardly think he's really world-class enough... Vieira would be the perfect partner for Emerson imo... But i doubt he's coming... Remember, Arsenal have resisted many times before offers from other big clubs like Real Madrid and Chelsea, so why should Arsenal suddenly give in NOW? And to a club like Juve who is not known as a club who would pay ridiculous amounts of money for players? That said, we are talking about Moggi here... who knows how this guy thinks... [QUOTE:] He (Vieira) is a "rejected" product from Milan as someone had said earlier, somewhere in this forum. I don't buy it. It is just another rumours regarding our captain.
i think the guy who said that was a milanista.... obviously pissed off that they let go of vieira and then bought seedorf... Vieira at Milan was still very young at the time, hardly capable of challenging for first team place at the San Siro... He needed to go to a club willing to develop his skills and give him the playing time he needed, which he wasn't going to get at Milan... Him moving to Highbury was the best for all parties concerned, just as Henry's move from Juventus was... |

yeah, camoranesi has been tremendous last season. he has turned out to be a better player eversince capello took over the team. it'll be a waste if we try to look out for another right winger. |

if compare to vieira, mancini isnt worth at all. (yeah, anyway mancini is a right winger) vieira-emerson combination will create a strong defense in midfield. he has lots of experiences as captain and very good in passing and also aggressive, which any central midfielder should be. i always wanted juve to buy vieira and now it seems like a perfect time. |

Moggi Offers 10 Million And Appiah For Vieira – Report 7/7/2005 11:01:00 AM The General Director of Juventus is in London to negotiate the possible transfer of the French midfielder to Turin. Italian media is reporting that the Bianconeri are finally ready to bring Vieira back to Italy after a courtship which lasted over 2 years. Arsenal are willing to offload their star midfielder to net 10 million Euros and Ghanaian player Stephan Appiah in what would be one of this summer’s most sensational transfers. Always according to the newspaper reports, the negotiations are in their final stages as Luciano Moggi is discussing the last details for this deal to go through. In other related Juventus transfer reports, the Bianconeri are also preparing their final attack for Antonio Cassano to lure the talented young forward away from Rome. any comments guys? |

According to news reports, Vieira is almost certain a Juve man next season.... but the various reports could not agree on how much was the transfer fee.... Goal.com Soccernet channel4 ................................................................................ On another note, Legrottaglie has been confirmed to be loaned out to Siena for a season... Why bother? why don't we just sell him off?!!! |

if you guys completed this signing(Viera)...it certainly 'the transfer of the season in serie a' by far...and i it won't be much a problem to adapt in Italy for Viera.. because he's been here..with MILAN... what an irony ha? |
