Lets face it, there have been a LOT of talk about Cassano coming to Juventus. And no wonder too, considering his massive talent and the way Roma are dwindling down... He has also been facing quite a lot of problems in the eternal city. Even Lapo Elkann expressed his delight at the prospect of Cassano coming to Juventus. And, theres always the fact that Don Fabio and Cassano can actually work together (which is a very rare thing considering Cassano's record with coaches :P ) So whats the problem? The guy has a lot of talent, and I always love watching him play, and Roma are probably willing to let him go (although there might be the slightest retaliation from that bastard Sensi) .... but of course, its CASSANO. Yes, Cassano, the immature and hateful creature who was Totti's little puppy... and yes he used to be one of the Roma fans' saviour, Roma, a team that hates Juventus more than any team has ever hated them before... On one hand, Cassano CAN benefit Juventus and on the other, he can humiliate us with his little tantrums. Which side are you on ? |

i'm also with "Cassano to Juve" side... I believe if we DID buy Cassano, Mutu will be the player to be trade to Roma. I think Mutu and Cassano have the same style of play, there is no way in the world we will sell our goal poarcher.. Trezeguet!!! I think, Cassano, 1 creative mid and 2 cbs is within our reach! :D |

alex-zlatan-trez-cassano-zalayeta 5 striker i guess zalayeta has no prob to stay in bench...cos he is a loyalist but the rest 4 striker....i just hope there is no tension between them with 5 strikers,i think capello will rotate the striker with new creative midfield,i think we will revert to 4-4-2 cos emerson/camo/nedved is untouchable at their position so if we wanna use this new midfielder,we need to revert to 4 midfield system so only 2 striker upfront.... the other 3 world class striker will be on bench the other system that can fit the new midfielder n 3 striker is 3-4-3 formation that we used against udinese but that would mean no zambrotta,no zebina only 3 stopper at our backline wat u guys think about this ? |

I never agree with a 3-man defence. And I dont know why but I actually think Zalayeta might leave us next season (highly unlikely but who knows)... the idea of us trading Mutu for Cassano is also an unfamiliar one, our trio seemed excited about having Mutu (although our trio are also liars to the media) Il Capitano might be past his prime ace, but talent is just in his blood. Even on his bad days you can still be awed by one or two of his skills. I wouldnt let Del Piero go. Or maybe Im just one of those who still live in the past :D But I'll be happy with living by the quote "a knight never leaves a lady".... |

Oil cash funds Cassano move? Juve have hinted that they could use the money from a new sponsorship deal to fund their summer bid for Antonio Cassano. The club coffers were given a massive boost this week when it was announced that Libyan company Tamoil has signed on to pay £76m over the next five years to sponsor their shirts in all competitions. There is also an option to extend for a further five seasons at a cost of £90m. Last summer saw a more cautious transfer approach from the Turin giants due to financial worries, so this sudden influx of fresh money will prompt them to bring in the top stars. “We won’t go mad,” insisted director general Luciano Moggi. “Juventus will only bring in useful players to improve the squad.” One such player is Antonio Cassano, who has been linked to the club ever since Fabio Capello took charge in May 2004. Cassano has also pushed these rumours along by repeatedly confessing his admiration for the Coach and that he “misses him every day a little bit more.” The uncertainty at Roma, who are on their fourth tactician of the campaign, and the fact he has yet to start serious renegotiations for a contract that expires in 2006 makes this summer a crucial stage in the young starlet’s career. Real Madrid are also interested in the Italian international, but there can be no doubting his favoured destination should be finally break it off with the side that signed him for £20m in 2001. "He is a player who has grown up a lot in recent times," said Juve goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon this week. "He’s a lot more disciplined than he was at Euro 2004. He would be perfect for Juventus and could win the Golden Ball with our help.” mcm possible jer? :D :D |

DP may be past his prime, tho i dont personally agree, but he has high team idenfication to the fans. His face is associated with Juve, so I dont think it is in the best interest of the club, both on and off field to let him go |

smells like trouble in the lockeroom nanti. unless rotate lar... gila betul, look at their talents, and they are (i mean will be, possibly) rotated. if we buy cassano (which i think we should), i dont want trez to leave, nor mutu. im not saying that i want dp to leave either...... |

hmmm... trezeguet has been a constant source of goals for juve, tho, alex is still top scorer. actually, i don't want any of the strikers to leave even if it does mean room for cassano. personally, the only one i like in roma is panucci :P |

I actually like a lot of players from Roma  Capello wont rotate, its not his style. If Cassano comes, someone has to go. The question is who. And all fingers are pointing at Pinturicchio. |

one factor in Juve making an official bid for cassano imo could be the situation with mutu... we thought that we had signed mutu for free, but now chelsea is asking for a 8mil pounds for that transfer (for compensation??? They were the ones who frickin' sacked Mutu!!)... i doubt mutu's gonna pay for it (if chelsea wins in the courts) so mutu alone might cost juve already... Mutu: the free transfer player that costs 8mil pounds if we are going to make an official bid for cassano, we're gonna have to sell one of the strikers.. Del Piero? No other club is willing to pay his high wages... Zlatan? No way... We just got him and already he's already a fan favourite... Kapo? We need him here coz he doesn't complain about being on the bench... Zalayeta? He's been around for quite some time and STILL don't complain about being on the bench... every big club could use a fella like him. Mutu? We already (probably) paid 8mil pounds for him... and he hasn't even played a game!! and even if we did sell him, who's gonna pay 8mil pounds for him, just so we can cover our costs? Hell, if we knew we'd pe paying that much money for him, we wouldn't have gotten him... Trezeguet? Maybe... He did complain about his wages before (even with his improved salary, he still could get more from other clubs). Trezeguet may be our best chance of scoring goals, but he also could bring in a lot of money to Juventus.. If Chelsea was willing to pay 23mil euros for Drogba (who's not even THAT good), think how much Moggi could sucker Chelsea into paying Trezeguet... i actually have a feeling that zalayeta will be sold, and we'll buy yet ANOTHER young player to Juventus. If we're gonna get Cassano, then an additional player will be sold, either trezeguet or mutu.. if it's trez, then we'll make some profit; if it's mutu, then it'll be at a price cheaper than what we paid for mutu... i personally don't mind cassano at Juve... He has disciplinary problems but Capello is probably one of the few coaches out there capable of keeping him in check... With rumours that Gilardino is moving to Milan, Juventus has to do something to strengthen our forward-line.. |
