I've only gotten two missions into the Campaign, but so far so good. I definitely plays better than the first one did, controls feel more responsive. Since I haven't touched multiplayer yet, I can't really vouch for that yet. |

I haven't played the single player yet... but the multiplayer is fun - if not confusing. The maps I've been on, so far, are extensive. I can't compare this to the first game's multiplayer... since I never played that one at all. I got my game at the midnight launch, at Game Stop. I was at home and playing the game within an hour, and there were already people up to Rank 4 in the multiplayer (east coast players?). It's still a little early to give the MP a full review, so I'll play it some more and post another message. So far, I'm enjoying it!

I've played it for an hour or two so far in MP and all I can say is WOW!!!! The maps are pretty huge, leading to a really epic feel to the matches. Topic title is now edited.

I wrapped up the campaign yesterday. It has a little fore serious feel to it than the first game, since you're chasing after a secret weapon versus the quest for gold from the original title. But it was a great experience, and for it only being DICE's second campaign, they're doing a great job. I do have about 10 more satelitte uplinks I need to destroy, then I need to find the standard XM8, and blow up 50 buildings. After that though I'll be up for some multiplayer, no problem. |

I played last night with Aceman, Ziv, LFD and Voivod13 and we had a lot of fun. Later on, I played a couple of games solo and it really is a blast. I'm doing surprisingly well with the Recon class....great stuff!!!! Will start the Campaign today. |

I'm still playing the multiplayer... and it is AWESOME!!! I think I'm probably missing "Battlefield 2: Modern Combat," since I only had a few friends who owned that game when it came out, and I didn't play it much because of that. Nowadays... you can't even get on the multiplayer for BF2:MC.. because the servers are down (temporarily?) or there aren't enough players logging into the MP servers. Anyway, I didn't play the first BF:BC game... but this one is great. I am keeping my eyes open for a used copy of the first one. I missed an opportunity to get one for $10.00. A friend of mine said I could borrow his game... kept me on the hook for about 2 weeks, then... after not being able to find his game, he realized he rented the game, not bought it (thanks a lot, man). I highly recommend getting "Battlefield: Bad Company 2" - even if you haven't played the first one. If you like combat shooters... you will NOT be disappointed! |

Yea, I think the first one is definitely worth getting still. I loved the campaign in it. I don't really have the funds for this game yet. Plus unless I'm dying for a game, I like to give it a few months so they can work out any kinks/glitches before I get it, even if they had a Beta. I'll get it eventually! |

Borrowed it from a friend and played a bit, gotta say I'm not very impressed with the maps. I loved practically every map on BC 1, theres two maybe three I enjoy on BC 2. :\ |

Did you play both Rush and Conquest? They use different maps from one another. Playing with a squad always helps in map utilization. |

Yea I played all the game types, got the achievement for winning a match in each too. Yea, possibly, but I could still enjoy all the BC 1 maps by myself. I shouldn't have to rely on playing with a squad to have fun on a map. This isn't to trash the entire game, on the maps I do like this game is awesome. Love every bit of it. I just won't be in a hurry to buy it, maybe when the price on it drops a little bit. |

I'm sure I can find a deal or a friend who doesn't want it I can buy it for cheaper than $60 from before a year.

I think I'll revise my statement. A lot of the maps are really good, you just have to get far in them, i.e. destroy comm centers and whatnot, to get the full playability out of them. I just remember enjoying some of the BC 1 maps from the first point of the map and on, but yea there are quiet a few good maps in this game. |

Yeah, there are a few starting spots that suck, for either Attackers or Defenders, one or two both are. |

Gahhhh. You guys are getting me all hyped for the game. I haven't even touched it yet. Had the dead box in my hand ready to buy today then I thought, hey -- Just cause 2 comes out in like a week and a half..... So what do I do, guys? ... it's either my phone bill, BFBC2, or something else. I know March / April is going to be an epic game release month -- enough to keep us going through the summer void. I think I'm with Sin when I say I'll pick up a copy once the price goes down. I just gotta make sure I get a new one; EA is stepping up their fight against used game sales with redemption codes. Unless I can snag one of those from work--- Oh, wait a sec. HEYO. -Rocky |

I see what you did thar Rocky. ![]() One game I'll probably end up buying soon is Splinter Cell: Conviction. That's probably it for a while, unless there is something else coming out worth buying I can't think of which there probably is. |

The next multiplayer game after Splinter Cell would be either Lost Planet 2 or Red Dead Redemption, both of which come out in May. After that, Crackdown 2 would be the next which hits in July. So Bad Company is really the only FPS until this fall when all the big games drop. Splinter Cell will be a nice co-op game, but the multiplayer is only 1v1. Red Dead will have multiplayer, but we don't yet know what it entails. Next would be Lost Planet 2, which comes out the same day as Red Dead, will undoubtedly be a fun co-op game, if the demo was anything to go by. But I never liked the adversarial mode from the first. Then there's Crackdown 2, but that's in July, two months after Red Dead and Lost Planet. |

So then I ran out and bought Bad Co. 2, God of War III, and tossed preorders on splinter cell as well as Just cause 2. God damn expensive day. Money well spent. |

Hey, I just spent close to $300 on a couple items for my PC, a speaker system for my brother, and bought Dragon Age: Awakening. I know how you feel. Back on topic. Awesome! Definitely need to play soon. |
