Yep.

Must be. Some dude rolling around an enclosed area in a zorb? Sounds like some crazy-ass times. Crazy ass has another name, and that is Dead Rising. I just hope they get the save system right. :D

Oh man that's pretty sweet. I played a bit of Dead Rising and enjoyed it, but never got around to actually renting it for a playthrough.

Hopefully, with the amount of people that wanted it in the first, they'll make the second one co-op, or at least add some sort of multiplayer.

I played the first a little, that's what I expect out of a zombie game. Not L4D fast-paced or RE5 jacked controls crap. Yea, I consider RE5 a zombie game although some say it technically isn't, whatever. This game looks pretty cool, curious about the co-op.

L4D is fast paced only if you make it, it's just generally the best strategy if you actually want to finish it on the harder difficulties. And hey, technically Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising weren't Zombie games either :P .

We, as gamers, just view all living dead as zombies. As for the the gameplay differences, you have to look at the story of the different games. In Dead Rising, you were a Journalist there to cover a story, so you had to stick around and uncover it. With Left 4 Dead you play as four people that were immune to the virus that most weren't, and you're trying to get from Safe House to Safe House until you can contact a ride to get you out. Resident Evil, I don't really know about, but I do know the series as always had similar controls, and the RE purists out there would go ballistic on Capcom if they changed it too much. And they won't incorporate mutliple control types because it would require a pretty drastic change to the gameplay. And how many games have two totally different control types?

You've gotta keep in mind too that zombies in different franchises have different mind sets.

World at War's are slow, cumbersome and lazy nazi zombies, left 4 dead's are fast "28 Days later-esque" and Resident Evils' are the weapon wielding type, with a brain that still functions giving them higher intelligence.

Zombies are zombies, but there's a food chain as to which are smarter.

Yea and I prefer the slow type so I can have fun with them, like in Dead Rising and W@W. If I want a billion dudes running around owning everyone I'll go play Cod 4!

Bah, you haven't really experienced L4D enough to learn to enjoy it. Nazi Zombies in W@W is great, but it's always predictable. It gets rather dull and redundant after so many tries. I'm not saying one is better or worse than the other, just that L4D is more thrilling to play.

Anyway, it was confirmed that the video is Dead Rising 2. The video itself was a viral marketing attempt in Japan. The game is expected to be released in the second half of the year. It's rumored that the photography mechanic from the first game might not exist in the sequal, though nothing is official. The game takes place in Fortune City, a gambling and entertainment mecha. It's said to be on track for a release later in the second half of the year, other than those details, nothing else is known.

I shouldn't have to learn to enjoy it! I don't like how fast it is, I don't like the controls, I don't like the idea of running from point a to point b again and again. The only the that was remotely fun to me was multi-player.

Today, it was revealed that Dead Rising 2 will infact have some form on multiplayer. Here's the official quote.

Joystiq.com

Capcom development head Keiji Inafune recently confirmed to Eurogamer that Dead Rising 2 will have some form of online multiplayer component. No specifics about the multiplayer offerings have been revealed, though it's nice to finally have a clear answer on the existence of this long obfuscated feature.

As long as I can shoot, switch weapons, and reload WHILE I MOVE, I'll be just fine by picking up this game for my library.

Hey, Dead Rising 2 is being developed by a Canadian studio, not the Japanese one of the first. So I doubt it will have Resident Evil 5's controls. And hopefully there will be cooperative modes, because that would kick so much ass.
