![]() My GOD there are too many freakin' games that are coming out. I just have no idea how I'm going to manage playing everything that I want to FULLY through the rest of the year. The period between Spring and Summer of this year were kinda bleak, relying on Burnout Paradise and some other oldies to keep me entertained. But now that most of the holiday's games are out (with the exception of World at War, Mirror's Edge, Left 4 Dead and Need for Speed, among others), it's just a great time to sit back, relax and enjoy what the past month has thrown at us. So tell me, what games are you playing these days? What are you liking? Hating? Edited by Rocky2000, Nov 10 2008, 02:59 AM.

I'm liking Fable 2, but there are a few problems I have with it. Spoiler: click to toggle Gears... it's a love/hate thing. I love the campaign/co-op. I love horde mode. As of this moment however, I don't like multiplayer much. And I love Pure. I might end up re-renting it because it was so fun. Between those three games, I have plenty of reasons to put of my homework and play games =] |

Fable 2 was somewhat of a let down for me. It didn't live up to Fable one, which is kind of sad considering 2 was on the 360. For some reason developers just let the game go downhill when the sequel comes. But NOT WITH GEARS 2! The campaign was awesome, horde mode is awesome, and multi-player is ehhhh just like it was in Gears 1. You can't do much to fix multi-player in Gears, it's just the way the game is that allows campers to win 90% of the time. But it's okay, I'd spend $60 just on Horde mode.

.... Well, now that most of the games are out (concluding with Prince of Persia!), what is everyone playing? I know I won't be able to catch up on everything until well into January of next year.... ugghh... Still on Far Cry 2, and Fallout 3. Still trying to get some time to finish Gears 2 as well.... Man. So many games. |

I've finally borrowed a copy of Fallout 3 from a friend, so I've been playing that. Also been getting in some Left 4 Dead (recommend everyone who doesn't already have it to get it), and the usual Rock Band 2. |

I don't think I'll be buying L4D anytime soon, maybe rent. I don't like how fast paced it is. I don't see zombie games as fast paced. I like how Dead Rising was. It has the GTA feel of movement and had more variety, although I can't say that for sure seeing as I haven't played that much L4D, but I just look forward to a new Dead Rising type title. That's not to say I don't like it, I enjoy it, just not enough to buy it.

Here's the list of games I've rented/played in the last 4 months. None of which really warranted a purchase of my $60: Gears of War 2 Fable 2 Fallout 3 Dead Space Prince of Persia Out of those games, Fable 2 is the only game I could recommend a buy to someone interested. Dead Space was an excellent game, far better than the Resident Evil that just came out, in my opinion. However, like most games, it lacked any longevity. Each of the listed games I was able to beat in 5 days or less. Fable 2 is the only game I could see myself playing, beyond completion of the single player story - due to the variety and longevity. Fallout 3 had it's high points, but for some reason I just didn't enjoy the game a whole lot, thanks to the sudden, and uninteresting ending. Currently looking forward to Stormrise, which comes out next week. It's an RTS game everyone should keep an eye on. At this point, I'm seriously considering picking up a used copy of Halo 3 or COD:4. My RL buddies and I haven't played any online multiplayer in quite a while. Edited by PANZ3RG, Mar 17 2009, 02:14 PM.
