So, who here has had to deal with outsourced calls being answered by Indians with little to no knowledge of the english language when trying to get a repair order for your Xbox 360? Well, the time for all that frustration is over.... Starting now. Using my own methods, I met a guy who works for the Microsoft customer support department who is quite possibly one of the most helpful people I've ever had to speak with on the phone. (And trust me, I'm experienced with dealing with retards on the phone). Not only did he overnight me a pre-packed shipping box for my Xbox 360, he called me every time there was a new update on the status of my xbox. No joke, after speaking with outsourced phone centers for 2 weeks, the entire repair process after speaking to my guy took about 6 days. I don't even know how that's possible. Don't ask me how I acquired such an amazing contact, let's just say I told him I was so impressed with his help, I'd refer all my friends with busted Xbox's. So, in return for his generous efforts, I offered him job security. And this is how I'm repaying him. If anyone gets a busted xbox 360, hit me up on windows live messenger any time @ kcschanz@live.com I can get you his name, phone number and office extension - just tell him Kevin referred you :p And I can bet you'll be as happy as I was to have your xbox back working better than the day you got it. -panz3rg |

I'm pretty sure he gets plenty of phone calls about broken boxes, haha! I'll be sure to let you know if anything happens to mine, cause anything is better than the Indians =[ |

Thanks for the offer man! Mine red ringed earlier last week, but then the power went out city-wide, and it worked fine after that... weird. |

That always happens, sudden power lossage always red rings the box. |

Yeah.... I was surprised that the 360 worked after that.... I was expecting RRoD pronto after the power went back on, but yeah -- she's still chuggin' along. Earlier last week I smelt a very potent plastic burning / circuit scorcher smell that got me wondering if my 360 was going to kick before everything came out. |

I've had my 360 red ring due to power loss or accidentally unplugging the power cable multiple times, it doesn't effect I don't think. I mean it's not GOOD for it, but it shouldn't give you a RRoD. |

Well, my Elite just decide to E74 on me. Okay, actually it was Vyise. He was playing Halo Wars on my box, backed out to Dashboard, and it went all haywire. Then BAM!, E74. I've tried to register the console online for repair, but it's saying my serial number is invalid. Then I tried emailing support, no luck there either. It said there was an error as well... EDIT: Okay, I guess it was doing that because the service was shutdown for the night. It worked now. Edited by SpartanZypher, Apr 28 2009, 02:56 PM.

Are you F**KING kidding me. Bad luck, man. What about the store warranty? Can't you do a swap at the retail outlet? |

I didn't have the money for an extended warranty, so no dice with that one. I should be recieving my coffin tomorrow, and I'll try to get it shipped then as well. I might get it back farely quick with the service center being in Texas, which is just south of Oklahoma. I do have my brothers 360 to use in the meantime, no biggie. And hey, depending on if they're replacing the boards, I could get a Jasper model. |

Well, I sent my 360 off on Monday, and it finished being repaired today, and should be on it's way back to me tomorrow. I'll estimate it getting to me on Wednesday, yeah! |

Yay! My fresh from the repair center Elite just arrived! And with good timing too, my brothers 360 is now having video problems, and won't red ring at all (not even when the video cables are unplugged!). Looks like I've got to send it in now. |
